Backhoe Backhoe thumb

I’m getting close to purchasing a tlb. I’ve narrowed it down to an LS XG3035 HST and a Kubota L2501 HST. I am going to attach a mechanical thumb, but I haven’t seen an LS backhoe that has the mounting holes. Kubota has a reinforced mounting ring. I’d prefer not to have to fabricate one. Any folks here solved the thumb issue?

I love the value of LS, but I gotta have a thumb.

Just use a bolt on thumb. The plates clamp on the outside of the dipper stick. My new XG3025 has a welded on bracket for the thumb "arm" to either put a bolt through or for a hyd. cylinder end for a hydraulic actuated thumb.

How are you liking your XG3025? It looks like a lot of tractor for the money.

It's been phenomenal! I haven't found anything that I don't like about it. Well, just a couple.... They really skimped on the tractor seat and the BH seat. That didn't last long though, I was fortunate enough to get 2 of the Black Talon seats when they were on sale at Rural King. Really comfortable seats on the tractor now!
It has plenty of power, strong hydraulics, and easy on / off of the BH. I'm very pleased with it. Especially at the price!

I just purchased an XR3135H TLB. LS has a mechanical thumb for it and it came with the mounting bracket on the BH from the factory. The Thumb was shipped from a different location and installed by the dealer, but the bracket was already there, and the thumb is an LS part.

Cost was $375, but I do not know the part number. Dealers should be able to track that down.

Thanks for the price. I have the next smaller hoe, so it may actually be a different part. Thanks for the info. Most of the dealers don't even know that LS has some 'brand' attachments.
