RNG, those tractors seem like tanks...I've seen some on construction sites. Look forward to your report on testing it. Would you forego the track loader if you get one? Nice video...it looked like you camera was about to get wet.

That all depends on the test drive. I'm concerned about traction on the steep slopes here, and about tipping when side hilling. I don't think a track steer would have issues in either case, and in fact the Kubota dealer mentioned they sell a nice one. Just need the stock market to keep on chugging higher so I can afford one.

Good morning to all! Low of 59, going up to 88. Humidity was high this morning at 85% after a shower last night. We only got .3" of rain, some surrounding areas got over an inch. 60% chance of a t-storm this afternoon.

The Son and DIL arrived about 7 last evening. Had a good dinner and they got a few items in the house (mattress and suitcases) for the night. Today will involve them emptying out the Uhaul truck. They are sleeping in after the long drive.

BEF, glad to hear you are feeling better! I hope your continued recovery is expedited! Prayers for you continue.

RNG, neat sprinkler setup. How many gph to run them? Do I suspect there may be a new Kub soon?

Thomas, what's the next step with Boo-Boo? Your gonna have to step up your game.....

Rick, glad to hear your check up went well!

Everyone have a great Friday and start to the weekend! Prayers sent for all.

RNG ... nice video of your spray system. Is it "legal" to bury your propane tank, in Cali?

We heard lots of exploding propane tanks going off the morning of the fire, but from what I understand, it was because the owners didn't keep them clear of flammable material. Imagine a bonfire burning on the tank, heating and weakening the steel to the point it ruptured. BOOOM!!! The pad my tank sits on is clean and big, but not quite big enough for the new, larger tank. I can fix that, but I don't think there's any need to bury the thing; I'd worry too much about corrosion down in that hole.[/QUOTE]

Don ... good luck with your footer removal. Know anyone with a stump bucket?

Dang, Rick, you have ALL the kool toys. That one looks like it's pinned on; I'd be getting a SSQA version, and wonder if it could take the load that bucket could generate?

If it was pumpkin colored (Kyle's favorite:laughing:), yep, that's the donor.

I suppose it's worth a try with the insurance company, but my guess is that they've experienced such losses they'll cancel my policy as soon as the law allows. Might help with a new provider, but after what's happened, I'd be surprised if I can get anything but the very limited California Fair Plan policy, which only covers wildfire related losses. It all by itself costs about what I'm paying now, so I'd also need an umbrella policy for liability and such. Before I did the CFP, I'd just self insure. The best way to not need insurance is to mitigate the risk, and between the barren defensible space, the solar power system, big propane tank, and the sprinkler system, I figger I can sit back and sip a beer from whatever porch faces the fire while the sprinklers do their thing. If I'm wrong, what a way to go!

LOL, that color....Funny you remember that. :)

I have this 3 cylinder water pump, stainless steel of course. Puts out up to 1000psi. Came off of a 1.5 or 2 hp electric motor. could possibly be mounted to a propane fueled motor. What are you pressuring up with? IMG_20190604_163248361.jpg

57 high of 82 today another beautiful day great day to be outside

A new spot developed behind my right ear biopsy done waiting on results

Prayers for Buckeye Toppop Farmers son and all others silent or spoken

Hope for the best Bupps.

sigh....

67 outside right now. Mid 80's. Stunning morning sunrise, nice low fog over the pastures. was literally right on the edge of a rain cloud last night as the sun was going down. Front pasture bathed in golden rays, back pasture, the cloud of woe. The ying and yang over the house.

Lost some legal insurance battles yesterday. Stemming from SO issue/fix. Not too concerned about the dollars, more concerned about the dollars against time, so off to work I go.

..and one daughter looks to be relocating to Australian. She studied there abroad. Good for her. Unfortunate for us, I have a lot of her things piled up again in my house. LOL. So much for my downsizing/cleanups. Things are kind of tense around here right now.

Hope all have a great day, TGIF, be safe.

Rip, hope the tension subsides.

Our hill country is a 3 hour drive away. But it is nice.

My neighbor down the street also has a motion detector sprinkler to keep the deer away that might also work but no research on it.
………………………….
Might be worth shot, but bears like water during the summer months and with my luck he'll lay down and enjoy.
