First cup of coffee has been poured. 59° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 84° with sunny skies. Got weed killer down. May have some dead lawn. A brisk wind came up while doing one area. Lawn looks fantastic after mowing. Need to get barb wire picked up that I took down a couple weeks ago. Almost ran over it with golf cart yesterday. That today's project.

Don, 59° in TX and MI. Must be a nice start of day. You can keep the 90 for high though.

Buckeye, hope recovery continues. Prayers sent.

LS, hope son made it to your place without events.

RNG, construction Kubota's look tuff.

Prayers for Randy, Farmers son and others.

Eric, Snap Ring Pliers look a lot like Channellock 629 pliers.

Good Morning All.

Good morning. Wow! a cool 62˚F heading to 92˚F clear skies.

I got about 30 minutes of seat time in yesterday and about 2 hours of hand grub&hoe time digging out footers from a gazebo we are tearing down in the gardens. I still have 2 more footers to get out.

Buckeye hope you continue to improve.

I hate those things, they get me every time. My neighbor down the street also has a motion detector sprinkler to keep the deer away that might also work but no research on it.

I have that Scarecrow Sprinkler for garden pond. Well I did. Gave to my son to keep deer out of his gardens. They work for deer. I think a bear would enjoy playing with it until it broke.
I gave them to son because I was tired of getting cold showers every time I went near pond.

Was 62 earlier, going to 88, but humidity still low.

Buppies, hope you get good news on your biopsy. Thanks for sharing the skeleton info...may need it if the bears come back here.

Kyle, enjoy your day off...take a hike up in hill country with the chilrens.

RNG, those tractors seem like tanks...I've seen some on construction sites. Look forward to your report on testing it. Would you forego the track loader if you get one? Nice video...it looked like you camera was about to get wet.

BEF, good news on your progress.

Farmer, real nice hay harvest.

Rip, hope you get to visit daughter in Aussie land one day.

Got the mowing done yesterday, but realized I had made a middle of the day appointment...almost forgot it, so didn't get as much done as I added to my to-do list. Roasted some coffee from Chiapas, Mexico...rarely do I buy Mexico coffee, but it has been good this morning.

Good morning. It's 64°F and clear this morning. Forecast says we'll see 93°F this afternoon. Still need rain .... maybe this weekend?

I'm hoping that winds stay low ..... so I can get some weeds sprayed this morning.

Visit with heart doc was routine. EKG was normal, BP normal, and down 8 lbs. . Doc said "see ya in a year". Forgot to stop at Hruska's. I was 5 miles south of Ellinger when I remembered.

RNG ... nice video of your spray system. Is it "legal" to bury your propane tank, in Cali? Looks like that Kubota might be a winner?

BEF ....slow but steady improvement.

Thomas ..... BOO BOO, like Yogi, might be "Smarter that the Average Bear"??

Buppies ... hope you get good news on your biopsy.

Don ... good luck with your footer removal. Know anyone with a stump bucket?

Hope everyone has an excellent Friday.

Prayers to all.

65°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 86° today. Looking like low 90s and humid for the weekend.

Got the giant fan out of the barn last night and loaded into the truck. Wife said she can't remember a time when that fan wasn't in that barn, but it hadn't been used in years. These days, it's just in the way. Her uncle kept saying he was coming over to get it, but never did. The Maintenance Manager at work said he'd take it, so I brought it in to him today. Good opportunity to drive the truck for something other than just into town to get fuel for the mowers and tractor, or to Lowe's to pick up larger stuff. It doesn't usually get very far from home. Interestingly, we bought it from a guy just a few miles up the road in Ferguson. So, it's back in the old 'hood today.

Good news from BEF.

The loader on that M62 does look quite stout, RNG. Good luck with your search.

RNG, have you considered doing your frame building with metal studs?

Now that you mention it, the Kubota dealer has also been giving me the steel shipping pallets used to transport the RTVs. They're about 10' long and 5' wide, and each has 5 @ 1"x2"x10' rectangular tubes and 5 @ 1" x 2" x 5' rectangular tubes, along with a couple of flat plates. Originally I was going to disassemble them to make hoops for a new set of plastic firewood pallets, but now I've accumulated 14 of them and am thinking I could just bolt them upright on a concrete foundation and they would make great framing. The price is certainly right...

A pallet house! We once had a club house made from pallets but thats been years (decades) ago. It was shaped like a teepee and I cut my head on a nail.

The Lang pliers arrived and look to be well made. With interchangeable tips and easy slide switch to go from internal to external clips, a single pair will nicely do everything I need without taking up much space.

Well, what do you know? Those pliers look almost exactly like a pair of Blue Point pliers I inherited, except the BPs have a wider, more comfortable pair of rubber hand grips slipped over the original, blue, colored plastic grips. If we looked close enough, I bet the patent numbers stamped into them match yours... I've found them to be very handy when working on smaller machines, but for car, truck, and tractor sized stuff, they flex too much and won't budge the circlips. I have a set of Snap-On pliers for that stuff, purchased at a significant discount at a thrift store the year I left the SF Bay Area...

A new spot developed behind my right ear biopsy done waiting on results

Oh no! I wish your dermatologist would finish the swimming pool project in his back yard so he could stop carving on you to pay for it!

Seriously, though, hope it's benign, and even more, it's the last you'll see.
