As you all know I am new to tractors and was doing some loader work today in so called 4wd. I got the front tires spinning and noticed that only the right front spins. The left front was not spinning at all.
I then engaged the diff lock but that only locked rear 2 tires.
Is this how mfwd is supposed to work or do I have some issue on the left front axle drive?

Yes. The front doesn't benefit from the diff lock, nor have its own diff lock.

Be careful not to engage the diff lock while the tire(s) is spinning.. could break something.

So in some cases I should see just the left side spin and and right front not move?

Thanks for the tip on diff lock. I did make sure to stop the spinning then press the pedal :)

The differential is "open" so yes it's quite normal to see only one side spinning. In reality you only have 3 wheel drive if you engage the diff lock pedal.
