Finally got around to this. Pretty simple, about an hour, start to finish. I only have the one picture, showing where I mounted the horn. The M225e (and probably the XG3025) have an unused bracket on the front of the firewall, on the ignition switch side. Probably for a horn on a more deluxe model. Was able to put a 90 degree bend on the straight bracket of the motorcycle horn I bought on ebay. Tapped into the positive lead I had put in for my rear light, and there was a very convenient grounding nut just a few inches below the bracket. Simple, momentary rocker switch is also from ebay, has the horn symbol and "Horn" on it.

Here's the under the hood install:

Looks good.
My 5 year old nephew likes honking the horn on my XU6168CPS when he rides with me.

Nice install. Do you have a pic of the switch? That bracket is also present on the XG3025, so I 'll utilize that too. I haven't really looked for a switch yet.

I use the horn to honk at the dog when I see him doing something he shouldn't or to get him to start following me. Trained him to it.

Thats about the only time I use the horn.

(I was thinking while reading this "why would someone want a horn on a tractor?" Then I said to myself "well, I use the horn all the time!"
Just sharing my train of thought)

I think it might be handy if you had an emergency on the tractor or in the field. I frequently am without a phone or radio, the horn would be better than nothing.
I too need to beep at the dog ...

Exactly the reason that I was thinking. Easier to lay on the horn than try and get into the phone to dial then hope someone picks up right away!

My Yanmar 2210 has a horn and I use it either to rebuke the dog, or get the wife's attention. Or is it the other way around? I forget.

For the LS, seemed like a good way to fill an empty dash slot on the cheap with something functional.

Horn came on my XR. So far, just a quick blast for the dog, but I know wife will likely get one eventually.
