FARMTRAC 320 DTC

Does anyone know how to shut off once cranked? Starts fine with the key but the key doesn't shut it off. The key doesn't seem to hold in the stop position just in the middle position. Above that position is a long number starting with Axxxxxxxc. The only way to shut it off is block the air inlet in the breather. Speedo doesn't work but fuel and temp work. Any suggestions? To add, it's been sitting for years, but put a fresh battery in and it fired right up. Runs very strong. Fuel filter looks like a glass with a white piece, not sure if that is the filter or not. Sheltered so not sure about water in the diesel or not.

It "looks like" theres an electric shut off solenoid that moves a lever..

Thanks. I believe I found it on pg 43. It痴 the solenoid stop assembly, I think. Ref # 11-15. Not sure I知 smart enough to tell if it痴 working properly other than just change the part. Can the lever be activated manually just to shut it off? Also, that be the reason the speedo is not working?

Usually the solenoid needs power to run. Key off would deactivate the solenoid. You can bypass this using the lever. just pull it back and hold till its stopped

Thanks to all.....one last question. Any advice on servicing the tractor? Fluids, oil, greasing etc. Due to age it seems the service info is limited. I have purchased an operators manual to see how to work everything. The tractor is complete with loader, just needs servicing and some run time. I have found the complete parts manual on line but no service info.
