Before the fall of Bataan my dad told me for $1 a day a Filipino would keep a wash tub full of iced San Miguel under their bunks...!

He refused to pay the $4 or so a bottle Lums wanted here in the states

I'm not a huge fan of Bud and Bud Light, however, I've been persuaded by a local pizza shop that has really good pizza and dollar buds daily! :laughing: :drink:

We went there last night, for that matter. :licking:

I stopped drinking a couple years ago but Stella was my fave beer.

Not much of a beer drinker. Get too full on them. Do like the Ambers but not too heavy. I will drink a beer now but I need to be sweating first. Otherwise a glass or three of red wine. :drink:

Nothing like a nice glass of red with a gourmet dinner.

I really don't like beer very much.. or alcohol for that matter. But if I'm going to have a few I prefer Sam Adams Light. ..if they don't have it, I get unsweetened ice tea.

Not a big Beer drinker, but I have a stock of Budweiser, RED Label, no lights beers; and YES on a hot day, a little sweating, and a couple of Red Buds are a cooling drink.

I can remember, in the old days, no one had the extra funds alone, so we would pool the bucks or maybe it was pennies and got as many Genesis-GIQs as we could, talk about Skunkie Beer but who knew.

Many years ago my favorite beer was whatever was the least expensive. Long ago I drank some liquor and some wine. No more for either. I tend to drink both too quickly. Hence for many years now I drink only beer. For a long time I drank mostly Bud or Miller Lite. Then our sons introduced me to IPAs and craft beer. Now that's about all I drink. I like the hops flavor, the more the better. When we are in another city or town, I try the local craft beers. I am seldom disappointed.

Tuborg GOLD. Supposed to be brewed in Denmark, but actually read the can one day and was dismayed to see it's actually made in Turkey. Hope they use the appropriate hand.

Can you get anything stronger than 3.2 beer in Washington these days? I spent a couple years there in the mid 70s and ISTR that's all there was.

I remember those days, you could get beer in the liquor store, that was higher ABV, but now days, most beers have higher. Watch out for the Barley Wine, a friend told me.
