We had a few days of sunny weather in the forecast so I decided a quick reroof of the 10x10 foot shed could easily be done. Well.....looks like the builder had free access to 1/2 inch plywood in 6 inch wide pieces. The roof and trusses were all made from this. It was very unstable so I decided to look deeper. Can I use glue on this truss or should I use epoxy? View attachment 607445
Of course now we have rain in the forecast and I’m pressed for time elsewhere. Looks like we will need a tarp.
Stay safe all!

That does NOT look good. ☹️

"Rick, I have all kinds of 3PH hydraulics. But very seldom use them. Mostly back blade and landscape rake. I would get 88" if your tractor is just a little short of PTO HP. But then I do not have tough TX grasses to cut. "

Thanks Ron. I'm wondering what your experience has been with 22 PTO HP running your flail rated at 30-65 PTO HP? Do you have to really slow down in deep or thick grass? Our pastures are Coastal Bermuda with some Bahia. The Bahia is difficult to get a clean cut in one pass with a rotary cutter.

I run a 68" flail from Betst Products, a LLC/Value Leader brand. It requires 30 HP, the PTO on the Kubota L3240 is rated at 26.5 HP. I end up advancing very sloooooooly when the grasses and weeds get high, and it leaves behind big clumps if I don't. I'd pretty much stick to the HP requirements stated by the flail manufacturer were I to do it again, and that would mean stepping down a size on the flail or upgrading the tractor...

A breezy sunny 43ºF as today’s low temperature. The upper level haze from those Canadian forest fires was pretty apparent. The present breezy sunny 61ºF is probably today’s high temperature. I took Brogen to the doggie gulag this AM in preparation for our Bronx Zoo experience starting tomorrow. A great day to putter around outside; too windy for flying insect pests.

Kyle- Thanks for the water level link:cool:

Bruce- At this point Brogen probably weighs more than the bear. That will change soon. That bear looks well fed. He’s probably a frequent visitor at dumpster at the drug/alcohol treatment center 1.5 miles away.

Phil- A nasty surprise. Good luck on the rebuild.

Bill- I wish you safe travels.

Ted- Our knees seem to to react similarly to the stresses we put on them. I walk like Frankenstein after I have been sitting for a while. Take care. Thanks for sharing your fog pictures.

Paul- Your strange musician friends appear pretty normal to me.

All the pictures are enjoyed.

I hope Randy checks in soon, In addition to Ed not posting, Irv has not posted in almost 2 months,

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

You don't need glue, you need an exterminator! Yeah, not funny...
