I like copper lines because I know I can solder them air tight and they won't corrode. I love brazing. Seems to be a dying art, but don't know how air tight connections are. It does not flow quite as well as a properly cleaned and fluxed copper joint.

The Wireless CRANE control just arrived in my mail box from China. Adapting it for control of hydraulics for my friends line boring setup. Then I can (sheepishly) ask that he make me my custom fuel tank. Gotta love it when a plan comes together.

It's great when a plan works out .

That wasn't too long an outage, but if you are on a sump pump, even an hour can seem really long.

Good test of your setup, and bonus points with SWMBO wanting to train too !

Rgds, D.

No it was not long. We are pretty water logged here so running the sump was very necessary.

Very happy swmbo was interested in a refresher.

Not a whole lot about this house that was done as I would have liked. But I'm very glad, that there is no water entering the basement, under any conditions and that the septic is down hill requiring no pump. In some ways, I feel that the latter should be against code. My Lady Friend manages new condos that have sewage pumps to pump up to the municipal system. And, it's just another TRAP humans have set for themselves. Of course the proud new condo owners know nothing of this trap!

Our house was built in 1874. So you can imagine the basement. There is a permitter drain that drains into the sump pit...

Also we get water penetration during periods of ground saturation. A single heavy rain will not do it but this never ending rain we have been having.....

Most people have no idea about where the water comes and goes same with electricity. So when major storm comes along and toilets don't flush, and no water heat or AC, or cooking things get nasty within week. I'll have diesel/gen and 4/5 weeks of fuel sat tv/internet. If its bad I'll be fuel hunting but diesel will be easier to find.

So many missed work because the power went out and they over slept or couldn't get the garage doors open... Fire Department had a lot of calls of cars trapped in garages because without power the door would not open...

It's the other side of tech... and many will be Techno Peasants as reliance increases and understanding decreases...

Sad but true... clueless.

We are a push button app society now in urban areas...

Lighting a pilot light is a lost art or magic...

And resetting a circuit breaker is skill that must be learned.

Nothing wrong with a little horse-trading .
