Good morning!!!!

Good morning. Had a long day yesterday travelling up north and back again, though it was worth it. Great to see the old company has invested money into updating their manufacturing plant for circuit boards and metal cabinets instead of trying to save costs by putting it out to other countries. It proves there is still a market for quality, even if it does come at a slightly higher price.

My wife is off with a friend today, so me and Max get to choose our own food, though not sure yet what that will be, I checked the fridge and we seem to be totally out of raw marmot kidney :confused3:

LS I really liked the pic of snow softly falling onto your brand new tractor - made it look like a present from Santa.

Just one minor thing, it could be just the pics, or needs adjusting, but the bucket level indicator rod looks like it could take your eye out if you happen to get too close while greasing up. It may be worth sticking something over the end, like an empty ******* shell.

David, you really know how to keep the suspense going! I wonder what the answer to the last 6' will be ? A different boring technique, or a small exploratory hole from above, guided by a ferret finder/magnet, or maybe you intend to dig out a full cave system from the other side. Can't wait for the next instalment !

48 right now...high in the mid-50's and clear
Dump run this morning and probably replace my mailbox (I hit it when clearing snow a couple months back...I have a plastic one which includes the pedestal and uses a 4 x 4 for support). Those are the main chores. Might rig the flail mower today since the field is finally drying up...probably still too wet to mow though.

Nice tractor, LS!!! Great pics!

47F cloudy upper 50's for high sun might shine for short time.

Turkeys are gobbling fanning this morning  but the ladies just are interested.
Plans for today... day long job washing outside of the house :( maybe watch little nascar while enjoying some bbq eats.
E muffin feed little critters than get at it.

Enjoy the day all.

so close and yet so far, we are all rooting for you David, slow and steady and safe.

68 going to mid 80's today with showers and storms coming in this afternoon. We really need the rain here so wet weekend is fine with me, not so
fine with Mothers Day cookouts. Helper coming this morning, we will weed garden together.

I'm going to buy a big marmot and put it in my Instapot! Who wants the first bite? :D

It may be worth sticking something over the end, like an empty ******* shell.
good idea, or perhaps a tennis ball. I am always amazed at the many uses for a tennis ball.
Finding one in blue will be the challenge.

hard to get moving this morning. Stuck in Park.

Amazing! When you call a groundhog a marmot how much press he gets. LOL

64,might see 72 before the rain hits, very cool Sunday through Wednesday.
We get at least one of these systems every spring, we are not immune to them until Memorial Day.

Looked at a scut with loader and backhoe, but it’s 20 years old and he wants near new money for it.

Have a good day guys, God bless.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 33° with clear skies and frost on everything. Heading to 56° with fair skies. Got all shrubs planted yesterday. Still need to water and clean up all the branches and other things that do not belong in shrub area.

Birding class was good. Was mostly on how to use some of the Apps and computer programs to identify birds. Very well put on by a young couple from Queens, NY. @acouplewithoutborders Wish I had done some of their trips when I was younger. They put on a good 1 hour program without all the PC stuff.

David, good luck with you LP lines. When I drove a shallow water well. I used special couplings and caps to take the beating of a hammer. HD still list them.

Kyle, nice boat. What does it need? Engine?

LS, I like your new tractor and pictures.

Drew, put me on the no thank you list.

Prayers for all those in need.

Good Morning All.

Good Morning!!!! 61F ! 4:30AM. Abundant sunshine. High around 85F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

So I guess BBQed marmot kidneys would be safe, and with enough of the right sauce, appetizing?:confused3: I'll stick with chicken; last night's thighs were delicious.:licking:

But after five minutes of patio time yesterday, the mosquitos had their fill and I had the welts to prove it.:muttering: Looking forward to the big dry out and the change to the Golden State.

Turns out that the locks for the awning fasteners need a rail or slot to keep them from spinning, so I ended up milling a slot into the mounts. I'm not sure my new friend that showed me the locks realizes his aren't secure, and I'll have to pull the first two off today to modify them as well.

The winds are supposed to calm down and the humidity come up, so I'll also try to finish up the mowing today. But with rain forecast for mid week, I'll probably have to cut it one last time before the end of the month.:(

A couple of buddies are headed to Idaho at the end of the week to check out retirement locations, and will be stopping by for the evening. Probably head out with them the next morning for breakfast up the canyon, just to make sure they get a good start on their week long motorcycle trip.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend, Ted gets a dry day to play with his new toy, and David has a big breakthrough!

Ted, I've been studying one of your pics, the backhoe frame is impressive on that tractor.
bet you are having fun with that today.
Enjoying my coffee, waiting for helper.
Hope you all have a good weekend and God bless Moms everywhere.

Looked at a scut with loader and backhoe, but it’s 20 years old and he wants near new money for it.

I'm seeing the same thing here with small stubble field discs. They're either worn out or priced within a few hundred bux of a new one. People must like the look of an unused piece of equipment sitting in their yard because they're not gonna sell 'em that way.
