Coffee is done brewing. 55° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 63° with cloudy skies. Slept in until 6 am this morning. :confused3: Good day for outside projects yesterday. Got a few done. Back at it today. Talk about turf tires reminds me that I need to get new tires mounted on rims.

Drew & Mostly, great pictures.

Buckeye, hope the buyout goes good. I survived 3 buyouts in 35 years. Did lose 6 years of seniority in first buyout. Other than that it was good for me.

Prayers for all.

Good Morning All.

Good morning to all! Low of 38, going up to 57 with showers off and on. Suprising the same temps as LFN up in Ontario Canada! Almost hard to comprehend.

Couple showers last night, got 4/10ths in the gauge. Even after being out here for the last 25 years, I still can't believe the average rainfall is only 10" for the whole year! Some places get that in 2 days! I guess we are just too high (7,000ft), the sun just burns off any moisture.

BEF, I bet your tired today! Glad you had a safe trip! Hope the buy-out goes OK.

Drew, you really have bountiful harvests, you are definitely doing something right! Glad you get some good help.

Kyle, nice to read about you and your son out planting and now he can appreciate seeing the beans sprouting up.

Yesterday, got all the important errands completed, then decided to sharpen the mower blades. Got the deck off, seemed heavier than I remembered. .... It was caked with dirt / grass so thick there really wasn't any room for the grass to even stand up underneath! The blades were shot, the tips forming an "S" shape. I have another set, so they will go on after I get the crud chipped out...it's hard as rock! My son supposedly cleaned it last year.....

I know what I will be doing today....

Everyone have a great day! Prayers sent.

58°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 69° today. Expecting some rain overnight and into tomorrow. Heard yesterday that we are at 15" so far this year, and normal is 10". It has definitely been a wet Spring here.

Got to play on one of the old Bridgeport mills in the tool room yesterday at work. We needed to open up some mounting holes on a bunch of Case/New Holland hand rails, and no none else was available to do the work. So, since I needed to do a 100% inspection on them anyway, the Quality Jerk volunteered to do the drilling as well. Nice change of pace, and more fun than sitting at a desk most of the day.

When I got home from work, I had to help The Wife catch one of the male ducks, who appeared to have something wrapped around one of his feet. Turned out to be a small section of hay bale netting, probably blew in from the neighbor's. He seemed glad we got it cut off for him, even hung out with us for little awhile.

Kyle, I am all too familiar with G.A.S., which I've always called Gear Acquisition Syndrome, as it applies to pretty much any music equipment. The struggle is real, as they say. These days I've been actually attempting to pare down my pile of equipment to just the stuff I really use. It's not easy parting with any of it, but I really don't have the room to keep a lot of it, much of which I simply don't use since I retired as a BarStar.

Good morning all,

42 this morning with clear skies and no wind. Should get up to the mid 60's.

I was able to get some dirt spread out yesterday. It was a little muddy but not bad. It was the mounds of dirt from the leach field area. Since I was required to put a foot of sand at the bottom of the trenches and I used the dome style system there was lots of dirt leftover. Here's a picture of what it looked like at the beginning and end. I had a low spot by the house and used most all the dirt there.

There is still a pile of sand that I need when we put the pavers around the house.

Total surprise. Apparently not announced at the thursday meeting, everyone got the news yesterday.

I went through a merger and a total buyout. The merger had no effect on benefits, pay or retirement of any kind. The buyout started out OK, but then the CEO decided we were getting to much of a pension. He took about 400K away from my pension with the stroke of his golden pen. Of course the corporation was still able to give him millions in pay/stock options. It sure would be nice to have that money now that I'm retired.

Good luck and I hope it all works out good for you and the rest of the employees.

The was 27° this morning, yesterday was overcast most of the day with a high in the low 50's. Today is going to be mostly sunny and in the low 60's with a light breeze.

Didn't do much of anything yesterday. I might go out and do some more welding today. There is still to much snow on the ground to do much outside.

Hope everyone has a great day.
CWB.
