Yea, the thing is, I have only noticed the odor in the last year or so, or the fact hat it turns my stomach while washing it, in any case

LOL. with U there.
What I noticed is as PB ages it seems to get a 'rancid like' aroma.
Notice that a fresh opened jar lacks that 'aroma ??'
However the good news is the taste remains the same.
Get a cloths pin for your nose , LOL.

INMHO it is an oxygen reaction with peanut oils.

PS, My favorite late snack, PB on crackers!

My 2 odd peanut butter favorites; peanut butter on a warmed freihoffer's doughnut, and peanut butter on nice warm plain pasta. It gets all melted...

I like peanut butter. I keep a jar around, a small one lasts several weeks. I use it for many things including curry.
Regarding the odor....I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about..get some help.

I like PB, wife likes PB. But in all honesty, our biggest use is the dogs, either to coax meds or generously slathered on their milk bones.

PB and Blue cheese sandwich....add some thinly sliced sweet onion to kick it up a notch.

PB on cold pizza.

I will never tire of PB...going to make a sandwich now!

It was always PB and honey sandwiches for me. Simple, but let the honey soak into one side of the bread (sorry, Moss). I like the jelly to soak into the bread too on a PB&J.

When I was a kid back in the 60's, these pin buttons were all over the place. It was some PR campaign for peanut butter. And we all laughed because PB was our father's initials. So me and my siblings and mom all wore I Love P.B.! buttons. People at church thought my dad was running for office or something. :laughing:
