I ordered/installed a PQH about a month ago. So far, I have tried it using my bush hog, tiller, Post Hole Digger and to move a Box Blade and finish mower to another location.
I'm sold - I believe it will make my life a bit easier.
It is not back up, hitch, and go. I still have to adjust the stabilizer bar before hitching. Then, if I'm using a PTO, I of course have to take the stabilizer bar off .
But - It takes the struggle out of trying to line the arms, holes, and levels up.
That said, I plan on measuring my spacings and perhaps trying a HF qwik Hich.

All in all, I'm happy with it.

I went with Pat's because none of my implements are setup on a standard dimension like the HF quick hitch, which is tempting due to the $99 price. On the spacer bar and having to remove it when finished.......small price to pay for the convenience for those of us that are STOs and work alone!

I agree! Pat’s has made my life easier for the last several years. You don’t need to wonder about anything being compatible!

I like them.
Tricks I've learned w/ Pat's:
- Replace supplied adjustment bolts with Grade 5 or 8 if not otherwise supplied with Pat's.
- Realign the Pat's the on lift arms when going from implements of one size to another (Say from a Class I to a Class II, or vice-versa), basically if you had to readjust the stabilizer linkage. You want implement pins to be at a right angle to Pat's hooks.
- Be wary of using the special Pat's washers with (90 degree bend) on attachment pins. Yes, the bend is handy so they don't slide down attachment pins and get in way of the Pat's hook when hooking up, but when the stars come together on the second Tuesday of the month when there's a waxing Gibbous moon those washers can pop through the lynch pin and open the clip. Not fun when 1/2 of the brush hog falls off the 3 pth on a 30% slope. (that is: maybe not this week, or next week, but sooner or later...)

Only negative on quick hitch is you have to modify implement(s) once to fit "standard" of QH..... After that no fumbling or spreader bars or what ever...

Not sure on HF QH though, seems a lot of people have problems with top hook bolts interference ....

I went different way than HF.....

We use this style in Europe. It sure is a time saver. The balls allows for more motion freedom if you want to offset the implement sideways.

It's welded on the lift arms so it doesn't extend the implement further than it needs. Having telescopic stabilizers helps even more. You can just back up to the implement, lift the 3 pt, hook the top link are you're good to go.

These would be ideal for my Kubota 5740, curious if these can be purchased in the U.S. ? Have several implements of various width pins.

Noted! Thank you sir~

Very Interesting. I would like to see it in action - will have to check UTube.

Yes, you can get in the U.S.

AgristoreUS has this style. But maybe someone knows other sources there.

Basically, you get a cat 2 hook, that allows for you to use either cat 1 or cat 2 balls.

Was hard to find but managed to find one. You can also hook a string/chain/cable on the eye on the top, and you can open the latch without leaving the seat. Once the ball seats on the hook, it will self latch.

Pat's is good and saves lots of time. I started with the Pat's system and used it for several years. I really liked it. Then I decided to try a HF quick hitch. I had to modify the top hook of the QH and many of my old, non standardized implements but I like it even better than Pat's as I can even reach the latches from my seat.

My only caution with Pat's is that if you carry heavy loads over rough ground that causes the load to swing side to side, you need to rotate your implement pins so that the lynch pin holes are horizontal, otherwise, the heavy weight swinging side to side will bend the bottom of the pins outward (all of the side ways pressure is concentrated there on the bottom of the pin if the top of the pin is aligned with the slot). Another option would be to add a side to side stabilizer bar to one lift arm.

Here are the European type ends on an L6060. But then to complete the set, you need a hydraulic top link with a hook end.

You can get a complete draft link set with 2 sets of balls for $270 shipped to you, you can cut & weld to your existing extendable ends. Or you can ship your extendable ends to me and I cut, weld and return ship for $350.

There's some older AG equipment here that uses those. I always thought they were very durable and useable. Quick Hitches kinda made them obsolete here.

The main problem of the quick hitches is that the implement manufacturers won't get together to make the 3 pt on the hitches like on standard size.

Other than that, it's the way to go I think. I've never used one but can clearly see how much time and pain it will save.

I agree. That's caused by shops getting into the attachment business and not following pre determined guidance. We must accept that these manufacturers don't really care whether your purchase fits or not. Sell it and move on. :(

I have these on the Branson 8050 and I find them nicer to work with then a quick hitch. I use a conventional hydraulic top link.
The main thing I find is they are easy and quick to fasten to the lower links and many times I will reach in to connect my pto before putting the toplink in place the room to maneuver without the quick hitch verticals and horizontal bars is very nice, it gives a person room to reach and lift to connect the pto without having to reach thru a quick hitch.

There is actually some equipment now be produced that claim QH comparable....

Some of the BE Ag&Industrail (Braber Equipment) like their "Round Back Rotary Cutters" are QH comparable... Its coming, it takes time for people to get on board if the are going to....
