I talk in Imperial measure only but also will translate to the European system, too.
 Much appreciated. Even after following TBN for several years, I still find myself often using google's "F To C" conversion to work out just how cold/hot is really is for some.

The only Fahrenheit temperature I remember (apart from freezing & boiling points), is the temperature that books burn, as that was the title of a novel we had to read at school. Anyone else read that ?

Good morning all. Thanks for sharing the lovely snow pics, our weather is very bland in comparison. In fact this morning's radio forecast spent longer telling us what was happening on the other side of the Atlantic. Unlike me, I guess the other few million listeners to that station don't get to know about that first hand every day ;)

Don't forget about the "Super Blood Wolf Moon Eclipse" tonight.
I happened to wake up just before 3 am, which they said was a good time for us. There was just enough moonlight coming through the window to make out my wife's hair on her pillow and see she had tucked the tip of her nose under the top blanket. It took at least 2 seconds to weigh up the novelty of getting up and waiting to see the full eclipse, or the pleasure of squeezing a little closer and slowly drifting back to sleep.

BEF, your moon pic confirmed it was way better to stay in bed :)

-20°F and going to a high of 0F. Wind NNW 16 gusting to 24 mph. Mainly sunny.

The snow will get here tomorrow.

I've got a town run to do today and then it is hunker down and wait for the snow.

Eric, I didn't read the book, but I did watch the movie. Good movie.

Have a good day all

Just came in from outside...****, it's cold!!!
Anyway, looks like we did get quite a bit of drifting so I plugged the tractor in...it'll be warm enough to start in an hour or so.
Also, although I don't normally rake the roof....think I'd might have to do it this time. There's a good 18-20 inches on the roof.

15 and still dropping, windy, going to 26, but more wind...weather guy just said wind chills as low as 0 at noon.

Actually glad we didn't get the snow with this storm, like many of you did, and all on the ground melted yesterday.

Roy, raking the roof at minus 4 degrees - sounds like something the court system could use as a punishment...oh, wait, it would be cruel and unusual.

Eric, we read F. 451 in high school, too. Pretty powerful.

I took advantage of the freshly ended rain and 52 degree morning at sunrise yesterday to give the truck a bath...had lots of highway treatment chemical and quarry dust coating it. As soon as I dried it, an unexpected shower hit. I made sure the door gaskets would not be wet and freeze when the temps were expected to plummet in the afternoon by opening them up to the wind, which worked in seconds.

I woke up just before midnight and that's what it looked like here.

I had fallen asleep just before the back and forth swing of the game, so needed to fill the woodstove. Eric, since my wife is out of town, I decided to go outside and get a good look. It got better a few minutes later.

It's not the -4 that's the problem...it's the wind chill. Just walking to the truck (since I was actually ready to go to work) was a chore. I wish the wind had been strong enough to clean some of the snow off the roof. I just turned 69 a couple weeks back....this chore is going to be tough on this old man.
Cleaning the drive won't be a problem since my Deere has a cab (with a heater, but the Curtis aren't really that tight)...but at least I'll be out of the wind.

Drinking firs cup of hot coffee. -10° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 13° with lots of sun. Did venture outside all day yesterday. Wish it was the same today. PT this morning. Then take wife to Dr appointment. Super bright moon last evening. The eclipse came and darken everything up. It was over top of house. So did not get a view. At midnight it was -7°. Maybe I will get a view when a partial Eclipse happens in July of 2020.

Sure is cold outside. Those dealing with the current weather system stay warm and safe.

Good Morning All.

Raking snow off roof when it's warmer may be a good idea.
