1. You should spend time in other tractor brand forums on TBN. You will definitely learn something.
2. I look at multiple forums to keep an eye on every brand. I am not a fanboy type for a specific manufacturer. Who knows, maybe I will buy an RK as my next machine...but this research is what will help with that decision.
3. When we have a Dealer posting in these forums, it is always a great balance to have those that didnt buy said Brand commenting. It is just better for the consumer. You should have all sides to evaluate.
4. I agree there are some comments that could be worded more effectively, but hey we arent all writers :)
5. Negative, objective comments are fine as again they provide balance. For instance giving ones negative experience at a RK store is great information for a potential buyer. We need to know what we are getting. There are similar experiences with ALL dealers and manufacturers, and they should all be considered by a potential purchaser.

I will consider every brand in my purchases, including RK. Putting our heads in the sand because we dont want to hear something negative about `our purchase decision` is folly. Likewise telling someone else their tractor Brand sucks because it isnt the one you chose is childish. Lets do what TBN was meant to do...continue to inform its members about these wonderful machines we all love so much.

Another excellent response!!!

Hear hear.

I considered RK - they are the closest dealer to me of any tractor brand.
They are a new brand - new store here (RK opened in april - so I know NOTHING about them -never been in their store, never heard fo them till last January when it was news they were coming)
I did research - and chose to buy kioti, for many reasons. But then we all have reasons for buying what we bought, and each of us feel we made the best decision.
I'm curious as to how they'll do.
It's great Rk guy is here, but he's a paid schill - and it's admitted - but it's all pro-rk with no balance. And some of what he's said (repeatedly) I have found to be not true.
I've heard bad stories about other brands, dealers and such. I hope I don't have a bad experience with my kioti, parts or dealer. But these days it's all a crapshoot as to whether a company will continiue as they have in the past - it's more certain they won't than they will it seems.
Massive growth creates problems - RKGuy says they're selling like hotcakes in a famine - support and service, parts, etc are often difficult to obtain under such conditions. So far so good from what I've heard/read. perhaps they'll be the rare company that has no growth pains.

And I've learned alot reading in non-kioti or non-kubota forums. Much info here is valid for all brands. And most have multiple brands - implements, diff size tractors, etc.

Yes, I too, only check New Posts, and normally would not even put in my two cents worth, but what I was reading compelled me to do so. I would never respond to a post of some guy with starter trouble on an ACME tractor, and respond with, you should have bought a JD. I'm just not a guy that believes in great celebration before the experience and facts are in.

"The only posters here in my opinion that are being closed minded are owners"

YUP !!
I'm NOT an RK owner, OR am I closed minded about anything said about RK... But, I can see a few folks just being argumentative here...

I might have gone with RK if I knew about them before I bought my Mahindra. I remember seeing one and thinking it was a Mahindra at first. When I looked into them I found they were made in the same factory and I could have gotten more features for less money.
The down side is that while I have a local RK, The nearest RK tractor store is about three hours away. That is a big negative for service and warranty issues but the cost savings should make up for some of that. I will be watching and waiting. If I ever need an upgrade RK should be proven by then and they will be a brand I strongly consider, especially if they start selling tractors in Clearfield.

Just telling the facts, Richard... I guess you can't understand that either?

Maybe people should learn about the human EGO before trying to consider the matter of tractors.

Things might make a lot more sense.

Clearfield will have tractors in March.

As expected, there are a lot of opinions out there. Thousands of people have bought an RK Tractor and have used them, and yes, some have needed our service support. Unless you are one of them, you haven’t experienced the tractor operating performance or how well we handle repair issues. That means any comment related to the ownership experience made by a non-owner is just opinion. As for the future of RK Tractors, we have assembled a strong team of industry veterans, we are making large investments in people, capital, marketing, parts, service and technology to make RK Tractors a sustainable and profitable business. Unless you are a part of that planning, any comments about the future of RK Tractors are just opinion. Opinions are great, like they say, everyone has one, but they are just a personal belief. That’s why when the forum is called “Owning/Operating” as this one is, maybe the way to get more actual experience and less opinion is to have the people that respond to the questions of current or prospective owners be actual owners, or the company itself. The other side of the RK Tractors forum is Buying/Pricing. That is a better fit for the opinions. That is how Muhammad set TBN up 20 years ago. We are trying the get this forum back to that place. A reliable resource from a community of experienced and collaborative contributors. Doesn’t that make sense?
