Besides the speed it makes sense if actually used for in car wifi

Finally getting throttled. I guess our tower must be seeing some congestion. Wife has been staying home more and I showed her how to get HULU so she has been beng watching Fixer Upper.

Being throttled to around 350 kbps in the afternoon and evening. Back to 10-19 Mbps this morning.

Surprised that we can still stream low def content at that speed if we don't have any other connection going on. A little blurry at times but mostly a clear steady stream.

My thoughts are on the Mobley that high demand users are going to get throttled. We use our's for internet only and never stream anything. My thoughts are they are tracking this kind of abuse and throttling those user's. I have yet to be throttled nor does my Mobley go offline even with the new firmware.

I get tower congestion slow down when there is an event at the close by Lazy E Arena.

If I run a speedtest, the upload speed is faster than the slower than normal download speed:

Has anyone noticed an increase - high (peak) download speeds in the last week or so.

Tried running some download tests on (testmy.net)

the graphs are consistently giving spikes to well over 100mbs download- even though the average worked out to ~30mbs and speed had a 100-187% middle variance.


Almost like a (burst) transmission of part of the data.

Also thought the mobleys were limited to below those speeds


Maybe ATT is cranking up the 4GLTE speeds??

Haven't really been testing, but I needed to download an 84GB file (virtual hard drive) for work purposes last week. The Mobley did it in about 10 hours. My normal ISP (long-range wifi, 7.5 Mbps download) was on pace to take 48 hours or so. I typically only use the Mobley for backup when at home.

Mine just ran 15 down and 5 up. There's people in town that don't get that. And for $22 a month, I'm diggin it.
