Drew, there is a new kid in town as far as hurricane parties are concerned.

Latest projection is the hurricane will go west instead of north. We might get nothing. Guess my stocking up paid off.

might be wishful thinking but looks like changing forecast shows 60mph winds here, lot lower than earlier predicted.
Let's see if Accuwrong can handle it. Probably will break off its post...

I can understand that. Still have missed your camp and garden updates. You and Drew could compare gardens now. Are you still working at the community center? Stop by more often. Take care.

The rain has played havoc with my garden. It's rained all summer. Almost everyday. But I'm still replanting. I have sweet corn, okra, peas and greenbeans less than two weeks old. Will have to wait and see if any of them make it to the finish line.

Yep, I'm still neck deep in weddings and birthday parties. Although this week is a slow one. I'm off until Saturday.

I've made a new camp. Down at the river field behind the young Longleaf pines. Picked up a two room tent at a thrift store. {Olympic by Greatland} The tarp compound is complete now. Sorry for the foggy picture.

There is a hint of good news on the hurricane, but too early to tell if it holds up.

Good Morning. At 0945 it's sunny, 84F with 74% humidity. Forecast high/low of 91/73F with 50% chance of rain. 10 day high/low of 94/70F with only 3 days of possible rain. Our longest "dry spell" this summer has been 4 days, so some sunshine would be welcome.

hot day, 95 and sunny, nice clouds, no hint weather doom is headed in. Got all the mowing done, now can relax.
still have binder strap to tighten around gas grill, but then my list is done.
Time for Jimmy Buffet music and rum. :drink:

Reminder for folks, most schools are going again after the summer break, please don't disregard the flashing lights and stop sign on the buses. For those not on Facebook, a car drives on lawn to go past car stopped when bus has stop sign out and flashing lights.
