I have both a 90 inch and 110 inch 3 point mowers. Let us not mislead the facts. Both mowers are wider that the tread width of the tractors that power them. NOT only can I now close to obstacles, fences, trees ect. but As an additional convenience, I can back under tree drip lines, and mow right back to the trunk. I can further back between fence posts to minimize trimming, subsequent to mowing.
I have MMM experience, Ford 914, 72 inch. Do to the size and maneuverability of the tractor, the MMM offers less close proximity mowing options. The tail swing of the 3point mower is a definite asset.
EDIT:
AGAIN, the post excludes speculation. Either a subframe BH and MMM are compatible ?? Yes or No, no gray areas.
I own and have used a 3 point backhoe on a utility tractor. Experience contends that a 3 point BH will likely rip the top link right off the tractor, the compact version even less capable.
It has been reported in other forums that LS does not require top link connection for subframe BH's. It likely affirms the top link stresses exerted by every BH upon tractors w/ non-integral attachment.
