It's been 5 yrs on mine and I barely notice that it's even occurring.
You'll be the same way.
Enjoy!! They're great tractors!!

The first light comes on to indicate the DPF is being heated up. When the second light comes on the regen. cycle has started. When the cycle is over, both lights go out.
Not according to the XR4100 series op manual pages 3-55 through 3-57. According to the manual the only time two indications (one of which is the regen active indication) are on is when you have a soot rate over 150%-in which case the engine error warning indicator will also light and power will be reduced.
That being said it wouldn’t surprise me if the manual was not correct

How old is your LS and What is the P/N and date code on the back cover of your manual?
I have:
2017 XR4140, purchased new 06/2018
manual P/N : 52116804-03
manual Date: 20150000
My manual makes ZERO reference to the DPF temp lamp. Only the regen and regen inhibit lamp. And for a 150% soot condition it says the DOG lamp will flash fast.
The original manual for my tractor was lost by the dealer before I purchased the tractor; this one I have was ordered by the dealer two months ago, directly from LS, and then forwarded to me. To me, this means it should be the most recent REV of the manual. But the date on it is 2015. I knew it must be dated information (not showing all the lamps, plus other issues) but I assumed it just hadn't been updated by LS since 2015. Now the things you're quoting from your manual don't match what's in my manual, and I wonder if you've got a more recent copy than I do.
The only indication I have to the function of the DPF temp lamp is the sticker on the fender, which ironically suggests the opposite sequence quoted below:
According to the sticker, Regen lamp comes on when it needs to regen, temp lamp comes on later when it's up to temp to perform its intended regen, and then it regens.
I can't confirm the sequence suggested in my manual, or the one in GSVette's manual, or the one on the sticker, OR Gustafson's statement. So far (only 30hrs) my only experience with auto regen was when the DPF temp lamp alone came on and I'm still not sure if regen occurred.
It would be nice if the documentation provided by LS was clear, consistent, and accurate.

Did you read my last post?
I致e only had a single regen. cycle on my XR4155HC at 50.0 hours and didn稚 really pay much attention.
The description, in my previous post, was how the regen. worked on my XR4046HC and I 殿ssumed was same on the XR4155HC.
My apologies. I suspect the manual is correct.![]()
