Maybe it is a magnesium chain? :laughing:The most detailed news report I've seen said something unspecific about a "Mechanical failure of vehicle" - I've definitely not seen anything outside of forums like this one where anyone has claimed what actually caused the fire in a more detailed way.
I rather doubt a chain would normally cause a fire, but a long enough chain dragging when the vehicle is going around a left curve, so the chain is dragging on the edge of the pavement, on a rural road with dry grass right next to the pavement - that could do it... maybe.
My guess is either a vehicle fire, or a breakdown / pullover / parked over grass - but this is speculation.
