Plant based people have it so easy. Only the thorns draw blood and never make you late for work.
I was thinking shotguns work a little quicker. Messy for sure but buzzards care not.

Our Worx 17” Battery Mower arrived on FedEx about 3 p.m. It was very well packed with the Worx box inside a slightly larger plain brown box. I ordered it on 7/23. It was initially promised for 7/31.

Opened the inner Worx Box and found the Battery Charger and removed the two 40V batteries from the Mower. Plugged in charger and installed the two batteries in the charger.

Assembly was very simple and intuitive, the only tool required was a Phillips screwdriver for the handle install.

Batteries were almost completely charged at 6:30 p.m. so, will give it a try in the a.m.

It seems to be a very good size for what I need it for and so far I’m pleased but, tomorrow will tell the tale. Quality, fit, finish are excellent but....... will it mow grass. More (mower?) tomorrow.

If I thought there was more general interest, I’d start a new thread?

Good morning (evening) to all! This morning a rather cool 54 after a breif shower last evening. Today's high only supposed to be around 84... I'll take it.

Got home after a short work day today at about 1. Temp was 82 and scattered dark clouds / storms forming. Had .03 rain last night, but only trace amounts today. Tomorrow and Sunday supposed to be great with temps in the mid 80's, maybe an isolated storm.

So, total rain for the whole week is about .75".... No grass growing yet, except for along the roadsides.

Drew, I Hope that your dermatologist continues to provide good service and the conditions remain manageable. Also wish you the best with your helper...sometimes finding the help is hard, retaining them for a longer period can be problematic.

Jay, sounds like Brogen is 'learning the ropes'. Are you sure he doesn't need another playmate?

I lost track of everthing that everyone else is doing....man, skip a day and there's 4 pages to get caught up on....

Prayers out for everyone, have a great weekend!

Very cool “Blood Moon” tonight.

Good evening all. 80F this morning, partly cloudy, calm wind. Wind much like yesterday, sky went to mostly cloudy and high temp reach 98F. Bike ride this morning, and started on wood pile, got the Bradford pear cut up, and nap :)
Don, if your helmet does not flow enough air, look at the Poc line, with my hair buzzed, I keep thinking it is not on.
Kyle, that was some story. One Sis-in-law has had chickens on and of but never talked about a rooster like that.
RNG hope you can work out a finish strategy for the van, that is such a cool project!!
Prayers for all.

Very cool “Blood Moon” tonight.

was beautiful, low on the horizon surreptitiously cuddled by two large post oak canopies. Actually looked like a large cheese pizza pie. It's amore!

Mostly, on another thread Eddie talked of getting rid of mean roosters ASAP.

Anyone else using the Worx tools?

My wife has been using a little cheap and cheerful worx 20V 2Ah line strimmer for the lawn edges for about a year. She sometimes complains about the guide wheels, other than that it worx quite well for small areas.

For anyone comparing battery tools from different suppliers, then as well as the energy contained in the battery (volts multiplied by ampere hours), look at the type of motor they use too. Higher quality ones like EGO and Makita have moved over to "brushless" motors which have less friction on the rotor, so that also tends to make the battery last longer.

Good morning all. We missed out on the blood moon last night thanks to inconsiderate cloud. It also made it hard to loose heat from upstairs yesterday evening, making sleep much more elusive than normal. Fortunately the wind got up in the middle of the night bringing in much fresher air. What a pleasure it was to drift back to sleep with the thin duvet pulled right up over my ears for the first time in a long while.

I'm helping make some small parts out of teflon at work. It machines "like butter"

While I was driving home on Wednesday there was a program on the radio about the discovery of fluorine and it's many uses, including Teflon (aka PTFE). I hadn't appreciated just what a nightmare reactive gas fluorine is. The presenter described the ferocious way it will bond to almost every other element as "rampant chemical promiscuity".
Kyle, will you be making room in your titanium store for a few Teflon offcuts ? :)
