My wife & I, and my 9 year old daughter will be headed to Kona on the BIg Island in early September.

Wife and I were in Peurto Vallarta for Valentines Day, and we are taking another couple with us to Mazatlan in late April/early May 2019.

Part of the marriage vows was 2 vacations per year, in the budget. LOL!

David

Kona will be warm in Sept, guess you’ll have to visit Hamakua side and cool off.

Never thought I’d enjoy a cruise, actively resisted even. But a few years ago, wife was able to convince me to do the Panama Canal Cruise. Big boat, Holland America and I was convinced it would be just too crowded and not enjoyable. I was wrong. We went with another couple, good friends. Didn’t find it crowed at all and definitely not bored. Had a great time.
During that time period, my BIL decided to get a small group together for a Danube River Cruise. Again I was less than excited. Having lived 6 years in Germany I didn’t see a draw of cruise down the river, but I reluctantantly agreed and signed up for the next year. Again, I was wrong. The smaller ship, AMASerena was great and the river cruise was a very different perspective.
Next Jun we are taking our son and family on the 7 night Alaska cruise.

70 outside this AM. Heading to low 80's today. Looks like a good day for the pool. Storm yesterday gave us a little water. Pool needed it as well as the plants. Saw a mama deer with three fawns yesterday. Too many deer around here.
Have a great day all be safe.

Didn't that fall into a sinkhole?

Yep, all fixed now.

I watched a program on that sink hole only last week, when it was too hot to feel like doing anything useful.

Did you see the "fix" ? Once the cars were recovered, they threw a few tin sheets over the soft spots at the bottom of the hole, topped up with gravel and built back on top  . Tread lightly Randy :)

Had another 1/2" of rain yesterday (lured the clouds with the welder this time ;)). Magic rain, already the fields are turning from golden brown back to green.

Still need to run by tractor supply, (you see I got a tractor mention in my post!) and get some dancing boots. All I have are well used work or snake boots. The wife is going to owe me on taking this class with her.
Good luck with matters-of-the-heart balance sheets. I try hard (sometimes), yet always seem to end up in deficit :confused3:

Church camp is going great...

I saw a real swan today. In the wild. ...

See. 1st I've ever seen in the wild here in Texas.

Kyle, I've heard that roasting marshmellows over a fire is something of a tradition on camps.
If swans are so rare where you live, is there another camp fire tradition that's not talked about so much ?

75 and muggy outside...going to 90...hope today is our turn to get rain...watched yesterday's thunderstorm split in two and pass by either side of us...need to borrow Eric's bait.

Kyle, camp sounds great.

I get those Viking river cruise advertisements in the mail every month, and they look interesting. Glad to hear they were enjoyable.

Took yesterday "off" and relaxed with an old Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin "cowboy" movie, and re-hydrated. Back outside today with more chores.
