Good morning!!!!

Ellen and I are doing a Tennessee vacation this fall, Pigeon Forge, Lynchburg, Memphis, then back to Nashville. She’s never been to Tennessee, and I wouldn’t care if I didn’t go again, been there plenty. Then a cruise this winter to Bermuda I believe, if she doesn’t change her mind. I’d rather go sit on the beach under a pop up and watch the waves. I’m afraid five days on a ship is going to bore me to death. But I’m going to give it a whirl.

That’s a nice trip Randy. Be careful in Lynchburg, they might make you sample Jack Daniels!

We hit those same spots three years ago and spent a couple of days in Gatlinburg too. We drove over from Texas.

On your way home you might swing thru Bowling Green and stop to visit the National Corvette Museum.

I’d rather go to Bowling Green than Bermuda! LOL

Me too. Neither of us care much for the huge cruise ships.

We did spend an excellent 10 days on one of the European river cruises two years ago. We toured Holland and Belgium on the AMASonata boat. Only 160 passengers. That’s about right for us.

Friends and family have told me how great cruises are, and I've told them that I'd be glad to go on one . . . if they paid me enough. But I sure wouldn't pay them to go boat riding, no matter how big the boat is. A boat is a way to get to the fish, or if necessary, to cross a river, but otherwise .. . . .. But I can understand the attraction and wish the best to those who go on cruises.

Now that was funny Bird. I've never been, but have friends that love it. They haven't been on one of the vomit comet cruises yet, where everybody gets sick, or the boat breaks and lulls about in the middle of the ocean...

Church camp is going great. I'm using my back ache as a bonafide excuse to avoid the physical stuff. Only 3 ibuprofen today. Very hot. 102F real temp, but humidity is lower than what I'm used to, so not too bad in the shade. I need a shower.

The kids are having fun, but are going to be wore out by Thursday.

I saw a real swan today. In the wild. Swimming in the Nueces river near it's origin in the Texas hill country. Some great drives. Very wild and nearly pristine environmentally, except for so many tall game fences. I'm sure there are mountain lions behind every bush...

Did y'all see the 14' hammerhead caught off Padre Island National seashore in Texas? Pictures are freaking awesome. My friends have some pics of one that size swimming around their 22' center console about 20 miles offshore. They had just been swimming to cool off and ward off seasickness.

Prayers for all,
Have a blessed Monday evening- Tuesday.

Good evening all. 80F this morning, calm wind, mostly clear sky. Lot of Sahara dust in area, other wise clear today with moderate wind and high temp of 104F. Bike ride this morning, followed by lawn mowing. Lunch, nap and time with SWMBO.
Need to weedeat, got some errands in town and trying when I can get the boat wet again
Don, using Garmin etouch 35 with a Garmin road map for routing. It also features 2 ANT+ channels for sensors, but it will not do power sensors. Uses 2 AA batteries, I use 2500 mA rechargeable, get about 8 hours with 1year old batteries and using heart and cadence sensors. IIRC it was clser to 15 hrs with no sensors and newer batteries.
David, nice job on garage. :drink:
Got to tour the Corvette line when it was still in St Louis, that particular line was built in 1948 and was very dated.
Late 70's or Early 80's they use to bring Donna Douglas to the Rolla National airport for some celebration, she was in great shape for her age
Prayers for all.
