That was the first things I checked. Plenty of coolant, fan OK, belt in place, and tight, electrical connections appeared good, and I use the air gun to blow out the dust, clippings, etc., after nearly every use. I'm also very mechanical, raced and repaired cars, do all my own mechanical work, did all the work installing the 4cyl Cummins in my '81 Dodge truck, and modded (doubled the hp) the 6cyl Cummins in my '96, rebuilt my wifes cousin JD750, among other things, so I would have a pretty good idea if it was actually overheating. It was functioning normally. If it was out of warranty, I would have figured it out myself.
The dealer called, I'm getting a complete new wiring harness. They are dropping the tractor off Friday, so I can mow, and will let me know when the harness comes in, so they can come get it and install the harness. I'm thinking it's just the engine part, but we'll see. If it's the whole thing, I will try to get the old one. Maybe I can get the fuse block apart to add those circuits I talked about in another thread.
