Ed, count me among the jealous here over your new mill. We have two big old Bridgeports here at work in our tool room. Fantastic machines, and just keep going and going. I found one on a Facebook buy/sell/trade page last week, but The Wife would absolutely kill me if I brought home something else for the limited space in the garage. Hope you're enjoying your new toy.

Good afternoon! Heading to 105˚, looks like we will make it easy. Just got back from the "God Bless America" concert presented by the community singers in the air-conditioned Ball Room. Wow, are they good. They have 70 in that club. Going to grab a bite and heading to the spinning room, Wife is headed to her Zumba class, Whipper is chilling in the A/C sunroom.

Not going to tell my wife about the spinning club, I got her a spinning wheel about a year ago and she has not learned to use it yet. It is bugging her not to know how. Have fun. Ed

Mine is much smaller than a Bridgeport and they come much smaller than mine. I am blessed as wife is the one pushing for me to do this and I am not complaining at all. Ed

My wife is always encouraging and supportive when it comes to my getting tools. Sometimes she will be the one to knock me off the fence if I’m hesitant and she has never been wrong. Can’t count the times I was hesitating as I maybe thought something might be of limited use but a new need/use crop up a later time. I always thank her profusely for her foresight and encouragement.

One tool that I use on the mill is a wiggler/center finder. Mine is a Starrett that I bought many years ago. Makes it easy to find end or side of a piece of material. There are other tool to find edge of material. But this is my go to tool for most projects. I also use it to center scribed lines on drill press.

Back from doctors. No heavy lifting for a week. Wait for results. :shocked:
Got upper stop made for 3PH control. Installed on tractor. But a hydraulic leak from a hose near FEL valve started while adjusting linkage for new upper stop. Going to be few days before I am allowed to get under tractor too repair.
