I heard the granite came from the Knobbs. Yegua Knobbs, TX
The railroad went along 77 and at FM1624 angled across 21 then back on 77 to Lexington. My dad bought the railroad property that went across the front of his property when they sold it about 30 years ago. He got a bulldozer to pile up the gravel, that was under the tracks, and he used it for his roads. We were always finding railroad spikes in the gravel.

I have actually been there. I went to buy my sickle bar cutter from a man and he lived in "the shadow" of the Knobbs. I was impressed and amazed.

Well, it was one of the sister company's blades, so there'll be a massive search for the retained documentation starting today.
We still don't know the root cause, but the NTSB will be exploring all avenues in their investigation.

They are going to even want to know what brand of toilet paper your sister company used that day.

Good evening all. 62F for the start, some clouds and windy. Some more clouds with front passage about 6 AM, and started clearing about noon. High temp was 71F and low temp will be at 11:59PM currently 59F. Men's meeting this morning, followed by bike ride, and nap and checked out a used golf cart, 2014 Yamaha fuel injected, and we decided to purchase it. We will get it May 1 as the side curtains are not in stock. Cart will have new seat, new belts, new tune-up, and better tires. Pics after delivery.
Prayers for all.

Here comes the sun (doo doo doo doo)
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here

Here comes the sun
Here comes the sun, and I say
It's all right ...

We have a beautiful morning, only clouds in the sky are vapour trails. Set to rise to a very pleasant 21C/70F by the afternoon and for once I believe the weatherman.
Hope everyone else longing for some good weather soon get their own day like this.

Good morning all. 49 going to 53 and mostly sunny and breezy. Trimmed a bush that sticks out over my neighbors yard and then cut down two many stemed shrub that just take over and are in my way. I will keep the down with the mower with the deck raised.

Don, wife wants to know what milk sub. you use. She has been using unsweetened almond milk and wonders if there is something better.

LS praying for your knee.

RIP, David and Ron, praying for you and your wife.

Have a great day. Ed

Warm morning, 66 out now, nice day ahead, cooler weather coming in.
Today is wash the vehicles day and mow the lawn. And wait for the plumber to arrive this afternoon to fix my pipes.
I'm going to have to drag hoses back out to the garden again, I just planted carrots which are basically surface seed and you have to water that twice a day. Purple Top White Globe turnips coming in like mad, looks like 100 percent germination of zillions of little seeds. I guess I'll have to thin them pretty well, though it's hard for me to rip out growing plants. I always try to transplant them and that isn't going to happen with turnips.
I don't eat them but I know the clients of the food pantry do.

Been busy, tired and a bit sick from the weather on Monday, that was decently warm, until I went on a bike ride with kids, which chilled me and got me a cold.

Mother in law is here, gardening is being done, and my wife got a video of me lifting away a stump I'd pulled with the tractor with the 4n1 bucket:

Sorry to hear about people's pain problems. We went to a friend in Kosice on Tuesday so my wife could get adjusted by him, which seemed to help her.

Marisa, as its called here, is also illegal. Both Czechia and Ukraine have decriminalized small quantities-- you can also grow a few plants, and even mushrooms if you're in to that. Slovakia, not yet.

45 going to 62, but freeze warning for tonight.

Took Coco for a hike and swim yesterday at the battlefield park...2 sheriffs there searching for treasure hunters. Then mowed the rest of the grass.

Back to dentist today for follow up...think a root canal is only hours away.

Will change oil and filters on tractor today if feeling up to it and not too windy.

Need to pour second cup of coffee. 32 with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 50° with sun in afternoon. Looks like we are going to get more normal Spring weather for a few days. Got snowblower off mower and stored under lean-to. Today going to drain gear boxes on deck and mower. They have not been changed since I bought it in 2002. Need to put deck on mower, sharpen blades and I am ready for mowing. No other plans for today.

Don, those berries look good. I have a nice batch near back of my property. Need to remember not mow that area this year and see how the crop does.

Drew, sorry you got a unwanted shower.

Good Morning All.

Man if that's only 1%, you are going to have your work cut out for you.....who's the reinforcements?

Anyone that not scared of snakes, dewberry sticker vines, or purple hands. As a kid I hated picking berries.
Not mowing for 7 years is paying off. I'll soon be one big wild berry patch with no fertilizer, water or weeding required. They seem to be growing best where the wild hogs rooted. The vines produce on the second year Ron so don't mow them if you see no berries this year.

thanks. Here I am literally wedged in this opening through the crawl space, luckily the pump wasn't far in, and when the fitting broke, the pipe opening was aimed right at me, and I'm trying to back up on my stomach while getting drenched by what felt like a cold fire hose. And of course the crawl space has been totally mold remediated and now it has twenty or thirty gallons of water in it. Will pump out what we can and put a fan in there. At least the floors walls and ceiling are all plastic covered. This is the land of mold and can't let the water sit in there.

Coffee done, headed outside to scrub a dub some vehicles

25 and going to a high of 32 F. 60% chance of flurries. No wind.

Friday we will get more 'seasonal' temperatures, finally.

I guess on Friday the big piles of snow near the house that I couldn't get with the loader will need to vacate. More hoe time.:D

Have a good day all

Good morning! the cool front dropped the temperature about 10 degrees below normal this morning. 57˚ only heading to a sunny 73˚.

The Kubota and Hustler Z mower got their oils and filters changed yesterday. I'm trying to get my mom to sell dads 3 tractors. The 30 year old Ford, 60 year old Ferguson, and the John Deere B. Only the Ford is running. I think I have the B sold but the Fergerson will have to be rolled to the auction probably a parts only tractor.

I'll try to get a pic of some bead board today.

Ed

Ed I really don't use a lot of milk. If a recipe calls for it I always have some almonds and put them in a bullet blender and make my own almond milk. I make oatmeal with water and in cornbread we use applesauce instead of milk. Applesauce is also good with dry cereals like Cherrios which I had during transition away from milk. In salad Dressings we make a little cashew milk from dry nuts. Nuts are are the restricted list here so it's just a few.

Saw an unusual early morning rainbow in the western sky at sunrise while feeding the birds. This will be a great day. Didn't even know rain was in the forecast but looked at the radar and saw showers heading this way.

Don, I can't remember from last year, but do you make a crust for the cobbler?
