Delivery tomorrow...Not

Ugh, I'll have to wait until the first of the week for our new Kubota L4701, FEL added, 2 rear remotes added, top and tilt added and 3rd function added (well the sales rep thought it had been added). He did a final look around at before he called me to deliver it tomorrow and I said something about I ordered a grapple from Everything Attachments. He said he didn't remember seeing the 3rd function. He went out to make sure and nope not there. Hopefully Tuesday.

I think I had to wait about 2 months for my tractor to come in...then once it got to the dealer they had to build it and wait for stuff to come in...it was at the dealer for 2 weeks... that was a hard wait. so close but so far.

Well I just got the word from my dealer. So no tractor this week but they said I was the first delivery for Monday.

Good advice for anyone anticipating the delivery of a new tractor. Beneficial indeed! :thumbsup:

That's just what I did after placing an order for a new Kubota L5060 just last Thursday. A lot to learn. Sure is different than my 21 year old L4200 it will be replacing.

Update.

It came but...I sent it back. It was not the HST that I wanted. Boy did I have a heart in the stomach feeling when it came off the truck and the driver was asking if he needed to go over the gear shifting. Boy did that catch me off guard. When I called the salesman, I don't think he was happy and I weren't in too good a shape either. It may have been a little fault on both of us. But he called me a little later and told me he had a new L4701 HST brand new still in the crate that he was going to have the boys to start working on. Put the FEL on, 3rd function hydraulics, 2 rear remotes, top and tilt and ballast in the tires. All of that will come off the one that they sent once it gets back. Oh well, good things come to those who wait. I guess I'll laugh about this in due time.

But here is the photo showing that a tractor did show up.

Not sure how that mixup happened? You purchased the HST and they sent a gear drive by mistake??

Bummer for sure! Quite a shock and letdown after all the anticipation.

I'm curious too about the mix up. Didn't you have a copy of a sales agreement or quote detailing all the specifics?

I had a similar experience years ago when I purchased a new JD 2350 from a dealer several hundred miles away. Well, when the tractor arrived, it, like yours, was the WRONG tractor. On the phone with the dealer and found my tractor was on the road being shipped out of state to someone else who was expecting to receive the tractor that arrived at my place. Their shipping department messed up. A few days later I received the right tractor.
