Harbor Freight Tools that don't suck

I use the harbor freight detailing and chip brushes probably every day. I keep the detailing brushes by the sink in the shop, and put the chip brushes near the machines that make chips or dust. They don't wear out or drop bristles. When they eventually get gunked up I toss them and get new ones. Just a few dollars.

Why not just rinse the can out before using, if you are concerned about the drilling residue, and then just filter the rinse gas?

If using a twist drill apply ample grease and residue will stick for the most part to grease.

When I drilled mine out I used the step drills from H.F. and they pulled the cuttings out as I drilled. I drilled at a real low speed and it seemed to work well. I did rinse the cans out after but didn't find any more residue.

I drilled all mine with a 1/2” Brad point bit. After drilling, I put about a cup of gas in a can, sloshed it around, and poured gas into next can thru a funnel with a coffee filter in it. After rinsing cutting out of four cans I went back and re-rinsed first can and dumped thru a fresh coffee filter and nothing was caught. Didn’t bother with second rinse on other cans.

I've had one for about 6 months but have only used it a few times. Worked great and much better than the one it replaced. Kind of nice to not have the extra bulk to get in the way.
Good news! - - For me the short length will have great value. I will save it mostly for when that is needed. The ability to break loose and back off a resistant nut in close quarters is the lure.

1/2 in. Stubby Ultra-Light Extreme Torque Air Impact Wrench

Does anybody have one of these? What do you think of it.?

I got one on sale for $89. It tiny and hits hard.
I haven't done a formal trial/comparison yet.

I like the idea of 2.4 lbs vs the 6 lbs of the traditional Earthquake that I bought just before all these new models came out!

And the 700 breakaway lbs / 550 torque on yours looks good vs the traditional Earthquake's 800/500.

At least based on those specs, I think you'll love it!

I drilled my hole with a step drill, turned the can upside down and blew it out with an air gun. Anything that might have been in there came out.
