She asked if the stud finder was for her.

Every time I have to get the stud finder out around her I turn it on and run it across me. And tell her I had to test it. It always puts a smile on her face even if she won’t admit it.

63 currently. And it’s cooled off a little.

Took wife to eat at Texas Roadhouse. After her doctors checkup from her mole removal. At 4:30 they had a 45 minute wait. We left at 6:30. Food was good. Got her a flower arraignment and card. Florist wouldn’t deliver to school. Said too busy, then gave me a hard time about saying I’d just pick something to take home. So will probably find a new florist for next time.

Worked in chicken coops a while this morning then fixed ranger wheel new helper managed to bend. He was turning around and backed off a culvert. It’s a piece of steel pipe about a quarter inch thick. Didn’t cut tire. Then shuffle kids around so we could have an evening together. Now back to chicken coops.

Good morning to all (or should I say good evening). Got a late start on here today. Went to HD for a bunch of materials: 20 2x8x16', 16 2x8x10', 16 2x6x16', 8 2x4x16', 64 2x6 studs. 16sheets of 1 1/2" foam insulation. Had to go through 1/2 of the bunks to get straight ones. Loaded onto 3 carts. Paid for the stuff, then took it all off the carts, loaded onto trailer. Of course since I have a trailer load of lumber, it's going to rain tonight. Glad for the chance of rain :dance1:So, got home, unloaded everything into the shop. I'm just plumb wore out! :duh: Had pepperoni and sausage pizza for dinner, homemade apple/blueberry pie for dessert :licking: Going to bed in about a 1/2 hour, got to get up at 03:00 for duty:( Hopefully people will behave themselves next few days) These 13 hr shifts are long, (especially when they turn into 14-15 hours.) I do like having 4 days off though every week. I guess it's a wash. I'll start my project on Sunday.

To all needing prayers, there're sent. Hope everyone stays healthy and has a great few days. I'll catch up on Sunday....

Good evening all. 45F and fog, sky obscured, calm wind. High temp was 76F :) wind got frisky, fog lifted about 10:30, sky cleared about noon. Men's meeting this morning, followed by cleaning the ashes in the wood stove. Went for bike ride about 2, normal summer clothes, first one this year. Took wife to the nearby restaurant, her main Valentine meal is Red Lobster tomorrow.

I don't know the story about the car, it was near when we rented ATVs, and of course the rental people tell us that the dummy disobeyed the guide and that was his punishment :D
Towel figure left in the shower for us

So far in Costa Rica I have seen Massey Ferguson, Yanmar, John Deere, Belarus, Case, New Holland, and Kubota tractors of various vintages...... and a couple that I could not identify (yet). I think that some are from eastern Europe/Russian manufacturers. I am no farmer and I am not the greatest of gardeners, but it appears that there are areas where agribusiness is flourishing with large tracts of singular crop plantings like bananas, palms for oil, coconut palms, and pineapples. Coffee is somewhat different- some producers plant trees grown in shade and others plant trees in the open. Coffee grown in shade requires much less to no chemicals needed for the production of coffee beans; trees grown in the open require more chemicals. Large tracts of singular crop planting without crop rotation and/or mixed crop planting is starting to create more opportunities for invasive insects and diseases. Bananas as we know them have some nasty virus that's spreading across CR. The smaller and subsistence farms with mixed crops/complimentary plantings seem more resistant to the invasive stuff.

I've posted it before, but I'll post it again: For all the poverty in CR it is wealthy in what really matters in life.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

Pura Vida.

Farmer, I'm the last guy you wanna be takin' advise on women from. However, I think you're OK with the roses, and it's a good thing Costco was out of shop lights. But if you try to give her that stud finder, it's a good thing you're used to sleeping on the couch because you're gonna be out there on it again tonight!:laughing:

Not so fast! After our Richmond House was complete, right before Christmas 2015, my wife told me to add a new stud finder to her Christmas Gift list. Her old one wasn’t working well (she has her own tool box) and she was getting ready to start hanging pictures in the new house. Boom! She got a new Dewalt SF and a Dewalt laser level tool as well.

One of the first thing I learned about her was that she wasn’t a rose fan but, she loved tulips. So, for the 12+ years we’ve been together it’s Tulips for Birthdays, Anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, etc.

We took one of the European River cruises thru Holland and Belgium a couple of years ago. The highlight of the trip, for her, was the tulip fields in Holland and the Keukenhof Gardens near Lisse.
