Good morning!!!!

Went down to my pit and crusted a spot and brought a few buckets of topsoil up but it’s too wet to work good. Roughed it in, I’ll let it dry and finish it, still gotta order some mix dirt. The topsoil in my pit area is deeper than I can dig, had the guy that did my driveway take his big Bobcat and try to find the bottom, went down around five feet, pure black powder, it’s the floodplain of an old creek that’s just seasonal now. I found a stone tool back there a few years back, I use it for a paperweight on my desk, not native to this area for sure. Got some pottery shards out of there too. 851507B9-F63A-4CB8-81D9-852173598A99.jpeg

So during the active shooting a student is hiding in the closet and in real time live on TV the news caster gets the student to tell him exactly where she is hiding. Did they think there were no TVs in the school?

I guess they figured their mistake because they went out of their way after the incident to report the student hiding in the closet was ok.

We returned from the croc trip w/o incident. It was more a bird watching tour than a croc tour. The tour boats are powered by a 150HP outboard and draw ~2' draft. We almost got stuck a couple of times which would have meant that the passengers would be pushing the boat free (the reason for required non flipflop footwear). The crocs that we saw were pretty small. The ones under the Tarcoles Bridge are much, much bigger; wait till tomorrow's pictures with some luck as we travel back to San Jose (our final destination). One can see how a cow or two becomes croc food. The submerged croc was an 8' female. The tour guide called her in with baby croc calls and splashing water.

And a reminder about St. Valentine's Day.

We are so thankful that we are able and healthy enough to make this trip.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes for all.

Pura Vida

Jay,
when my wife was very sick one of the few ways we could get away was on a cruise ship. She would take along a few of her favorite stuffed animals, usually small manatees.
Well...each day the room steward would do the towel art and create different animals to make friends with the stuffed toys. It really was cute.
That one is very nice, I'm sure your wife appreciated all the effort you went to for her. We'll back you up on that...
You handpicked those rose petals I just know.

Ok, where's our pictures of Costa Rican tractors?

David/Sodamo, my memory is perhaps in frustration you bought a really good small generator to back up the Chinese diesel one.
Is the diesel the one with the problem water pump? How big is it?
How many hours before the water pump conked out?

I had a 20 year old 15kw Onan in my boat that rattled and banged and vibrated the boat, needed a steady diet of new water pump impellers,
but never died. Biggest problem was Springtime, after rubber impellers had been sitting in one position for many months. That's when the impellers would start to go, those pieces
that had been bent over so long, fail and then those bits head for places you really don't want them. Some perfectionists took their impellers out, I just replaced them every two years, they were cheap. Your gens are regularly run so that isn't your case. Was it a bearing, a shaft or a gear that failed and if you already went over this, sorry.

Tractors usually have metal gear impeller water pumps, correct?

Very pleased to say my main generator is back functional. Need to do a mod for the fan safety shroud but that should only involve some spacers and longer bolts, otherwise purrs along nicely.
Thought I’ve posted video before. Don’t see how

Farmer, I'm the last guy you wanna be takin' advise on women from. However, I think you're OK with the roses, and it's a good thing Costco was out of shop lights. But if you try to give her that stud finder, it's a good thing you're used to sleeping on the couch because you're gonna be out there on it again tonight!:laughing:

She asked if the stud finder was for her.
