RNG, get a dremel after those casting flashings. Should have been done when the guy was machining them.

It was trivial to take that flashing off with a round file, Kyle. No kidding, the idiot should have seen the flashing and taken it off himself. But it gets better than that. My shoes were original equipment, and I'd bead blasted them before taking them in, thinking they were going to be relined. Then he comes up with this plan to swap me for some that were already made up. And half way through the job he can't find the other pair and has to reline a pair of substitutes while I wait. Now I've got some obviously repo POS shoes with miscut linings. They weren't even clean when he handed them to me. And to top things off, he doesn't have any more, and won't send me another set machined correctly. Instead, I have to send the ones I have back and wait for the same crappy shoes to show up with another try at his machining. This is turning into another cluster . I think I need to call him tomorrow and share some perspective with him about his substandard work practices, premium prices, and how he's makin' his problems mine.:muttering:

I was thinking as I was looking over my racks of seedlings this morning sipping my coffee, I miss Larro's gardening stories and pics. He and the Texans were always the first to get their gardens in. I hope he's doing ok.

RNG, if I weren't hotfooting the bank certified check down to my bank this afternoon, I'd do that. This way I have two days for any issues to resolve before they pick it up Sat morning.

Up too early, making huge list of things to do today. All the trees and shrubs came in, so I'm starting on them early. I have nine nut trees to plant to replace ones that didn't make it.
No more pecans, still have five of them, but instead trying hicans, chinquapins and more hazelnuts. Easy to plant, holes are already there and this is bare root stock. But definitely a back brace kind of day.\

Really am glad I got the two orchards sprayed with dormant oil spray a few days ago. Lot going on yet trying to be careful so as not to overdo. Not a line I walk well...

Good morning all, 29 this morning going to 42 with freezing rain turning to rain. Could get up to .3 in of ice, glad for the gen. Mom has been having a hard time with her thinking lately so we went out in the yard and talked to the Dr about it so mom would not hear. He walks in and tells mom, now she is very upset because she is afraid she is getting dementia. His standard line is " no use in doing much we don't want to do to much as old as she is. I think it is time for a new Dr, but have to be careful because the boy needs house calls. His back hurts bad from car rides.

Things are warming up here! Spring is on the way! -3 and looking at 14, Wind SSE 8 mph. Periods of light snow, starting in the morning and ending in the afternoon but no accumulation.

This is another nothing day.

Yesterday I got the two 32 gig cards from amazon for the game cameras. Now it is a wait and see game.
I wasn't happy with the resolution on medium, so I switched them both over to hi.

The first of the paperwork arrived yesterday for me to do my taxes. They've all got until the end of February to get the paperwork to me, by federal law. That will give me until 30th April to get er done and postmarked no later than 30 April.
As with previous years it will be all done except for the cryin' by the end of March.

I was thinking that last night. There are so many fraudulent cashier’s checks these days.

They’re saying we might get freezing rain here for a short period because of surface temps, air is already 36. 60 and rain later.

Ed, you have your hands full, the hardest part is following your head instead your heart. I learned after 3-4 months of not being able to leave mom alone and such things, that it had to be done. My wife tried her best to do everything to keep her here, but it was way too hard on her as well.
