65°F and no rain.

Our Canadian guests got in about 2AM. Not sure why it took so long to get from the airport, about 3 1/2 hours, but will be interesting to find out. Dave helped me install the new solar panels last year. Nothing planned for this year until he talks me into it.

They are saying that our upcoming snow event may end up being mostly rain east of I-71 ... which would be ok with me ... other than it will probably mean some ice eventually.

I have a fiber optic cable from 65” Samsung TV to Pioneer receiver. Regardless of whether I’m on Dish Network or Bluetooth DVD audio works.

If on dish, would you have sound in the receiver IF you didnt have the optic cable from the tv?
Ie, does hdmi sound just gets passed thru to the tv, and the receiver gets it from the optic feedback.

The manual has been read, and reread. I downloaded it and read it before ordering the receiver.

Got blu ray sound working on receiver, without tv feedback.
Unfortunately, Not sure what setting change did it.

One change was to 2.1, instead of 7.1 for speakers. The sound drop out might have been sound going to speakers i dont have.

Good morning. Quite a pleasant change to our weather, dry, sunny and several degrees above freezing.

I have been waiting since the last snow fall for the young man to return with his post knocker and pound in some more fence posts and he's back today - while I'm 80 miles away. I hope they all go in the right place, if not pulling out a few 4" posts is easy, however 8' x 8" strainers don't take quite so kindly to being re-positioned.

Today......45F right now.......grey skies and light rain. Got several more trees to take down........but they will wait......gonna help a buddy put an engine back in a 1947 fire engine.......make it parade ready!

No, until I installed the optic cable from my TV to the 5.1 receiver no sound via the HDMI cables. Now my setup is about 8 years old from when we built the house at the ranch. I upgraded the TV from a 55” LCD to 65” LED but same result, still needed the optic cable.

But like RNG stated, once you get desperate enough you may have to look at your manual.

I used to stay up to date on audio systems but, it all sped by me years ago.
