Sorry to not know, but is the boy you羆*e son or other relative?

He is my wife's brother, but to me he is "My Boy". He is such a blessing. Inspection went well, need a couple more smoke detectors, only have 6. And need to get the furnace inspected and some little things like the instructions for a wheel chair.

Roy, Tummy bug, tree, hope this is all and hope you get everything fixed without a hassle.

Have a great night. Ed

Hello All- 42F right now with wind and rain. About 4.5" since yesterday morning, so far ... Heading in to work today after a week's vacation at the lake. Have a great day! Frank
I think that some have misunderstood! The punctuation mark after my salutation, Hello All, is a hyphen, not a minus sign before the 42F! I hope to never see -42F here in Maryland (or in upstate NY, for that matter)

Frank

Good evening all. 48F at the start, clear, light wind. Wind slower on the increase and less peak gusts than yesterday, clear, high temp of 66F. Choir practice, then to town shopping with wife, bike ride after unloading the van.

Roy, hope you have a better day tomorrow.

PJS, very nice. I thought it would be cool to have a room like a Benigans or Chilis pub with all sorts of playable but not expensive instruments on the walls . The kind you don't mind the kids getting down and playing with.....What is that contraption under the Ninja print? I have a guess, but don't want to embarrass myself.

Went to daughter's junior high volleyball game. Our team won. Need for her to be able to practice someplace nearby... Might clear off a spot and put up a net, but not a sand pit. thinking like a grass that can be kept at a reasonable low height.

Hope all have a blessed day tomorrow.

I have volleyball court in my yard. Removable poles, Buried 4" pipes i put the poles in. I use 4x4 poles, trimmed at bottom to fit in the pipes. Not quite regulation height, but close enough for fun. Need people for practice..

Morning all, bathroom break over, back to bed now........

Happy Halloween, All!

Had my tricks played on me yesterday, so hope none today. Two estimates in the $3K-$3.5K range. One more required by the insurance company on Thursday.

Weather today:

Good morning! 59˚ chance of showers today. After the joy of finding Ms. Whipper my week started off like Roy's. The mower threw a rock into a double pane window on the house and I got the flu and temp spiked to 102 yesterday. Ms. Whipper is also still recovering she is sleeping a lot and has not barked since she returned. When my wife walks to the front gate she stops about halfway waiting for her to return, like she is too tired to walk any more. I'll giver her a few more days of recovery.

I'm feeing better today and the homeowners insurance will pay for the new window with no deductible.

RNG I have been thinking of chipping her. The problem is that no one can get within 100 yards of her when she is scared. My cousins could not even get a pic of her. When she showed up here, it was months of feeding her before we were able to get close to her. Now she acts like a regular dog but just around us. It really surprised me when Ron and Betty came here and Ms. Whipper took food from Betty's hand. Most of the time when we have guest Ms. Whipper disappears into the woods.

They are just starting to come out with some new collars and by Christmas Ms. Whipper should have one. I'v been looking at these two scheduled for release later next month.
Battery life is still the problem.

Pod 3 | The customizable GPS tracker to locate anything on the planet
Store | Findster Duo+, the GPS pet tracker without monthly fees!

The pod can come with a extended battery but they don't have it in production at this time. it's by phone 3G gps and monthly fee of $5
The Findster Duo has no monthly fee and range is 2-3 miles.

PJS your home is looking very cozy, I like the violins on the wall. It looks like both of you have your personal music space. Does your Mrs. PJS ever play the keyboard in you band?

Good morning. A little warmer today, yesterday it peaked at 8C/48F, although when I check a sheltered spot that was in the sun, the metal I was wanting to paint nicely made it up to 22C/72F, which was plenty for rattle can spraying.

RNG, I am slow at hedge laying and very much a novice too. A few people have helped kept this old craft alive by turning it into a sort of country sport, where their skills produce a living artwork and each person's short section is judged at the end of a day's competition. This is typical of one of the events close to where I live Cheshire Hedgecutting 28 - YouTube

Alas my efforts don't come anywhere near their levels. Despite the thorns it is something I enjoy doing and find very satisfying. Laying makes a hedge that is dense and "warm" close to the ground, which provides good shelter for livestock and for wildlife too. Fortunately hawthorn and most of the other plants in hedges are very forgiving, so with a bit of luck many may survive my rough treatment.

This black and white 1940's "public information" film is one I always find fascinating to watch. Hedging (1942) - YouTube I have the same tools but unfortunately not his skill - nor a landgirl helper.

That hedge cutting looks like a young man's sport.
Eric we might be able to ship you a chain saw, loppers and a gas or battery hedge clippers instead of the landgirl helper.

I'm concerned about the cutting at an angle at the bottom of the hedge. That pointed little stump just looks like a tractor flat waiting to happen.
