A very nice build

Thanks! :D

Didn't really put to much thought into it... just used the scrap steel I had laying around and welded it up into something useful. I honestly don't know how I even lived before these pallet forks! I thought I was only going to use them for moving firewood bundles but boy was I wrong.

So, brains and common sense! Rare combination.

well, had I thought about it... I would have realized that with the SSQA attach plate in the vertical position, it was just about at full curl and when building the fork frame, I could have made it so there was at least a bit more of curl at ground level. Just one of those things you realize after the fact.

I did cheat a bit... When I first got the tractor, I was unhappy with the FEL/loading the bucket to full performance, so I adjusted the relief valve half a turn. Made it much more capable at FEL work and so far been very happy with what I've able to pick up with the pallet forks.

What direction do you turn to increase pressure?

They are normal threads, loosen the nut turning left then tighten the setscrew in 1/4-1/2 turn (or as desired) turning right. You might want to make a reference mark so you can put it back if you ever wanted to or even get a pressure gauge to see what pressures you are at. Usually a hydraulic pressure relief valve is just a screw a spring and a poppet.

I've turned mine up (different tractor) but I had a gauge and turned mine up 10% but that does come with risk!!!

Yep there is risk, it would be nice to get the spec sheet on each of the hydro components but probably not a chance of that happening....
