help with selling small tractor

Mine is in good shape and looks that way as well. The pictures I posted were just taken. I had to wash it off before I took them because it was a bit dirty. They told me when they did the 50 service that they would wash it, but I could have washed it better by hand than they washed it. You could not even tell it had been washed.
The seat and everything about it in good shape. I do not mind going down to $15,500 but I will not go any lower. I like it too much to just give it away. If I had to have the money, that might be a different story, but I was just selling it mostly because I do not need it anymore. However if I do get some some new land, I will probably be glad I never sold it. It does good at digging post holes. I never bought the auger but a freind of mine had one that went with another tractor, and there was some places he could not get into and he dug two post holes with it. Man, was that easy! It would have taken me forever to dig just one. I am a punny little old woman and digging homes would not be my thing, for sure.

To me it's priced too low. I don't see the tractor prices drop like vehicles when they are near new. If it lists for 19k and you added 5k in attachments I'd be closer to 19k list and take the first 17k that came along. You can always lower the price in a few weeks if it doesn't sell.

I looked for a used machine for nearly a year before I purchased new. Nice used ones are like trying to find hen's teeth. They don't come up much.

I'd also list it on eBay. That has a huge audience as well.

I could not find any place in the book where it said next interval so many hours. There were several different hours to change different things, so I just did the best I could with it. Some things were 50 hours, some were yearly, some were as needed, and some were 200 and 300 hours. It was very confusing to me. All I know about my tractor is how to use it and fill it with gas. That is about it. I know it did everything I needed it to do. It was easy to use. The man that put in our pool said I leveled it as good as anyone could have so I was pretty proud considering I had never been on a tractor before.
They had a pile of dirt out where I bought it to practice and I went back there and learned how to use it. I got the hang of it easily and I liked it.
If it will sell for $15,500, I will sell it; otherwise I will just keep it. I can definitely use it to move snow and ice this winter. They say we are supposed to have a bad winter.

I saw some were selling for $13,000 but I am venturing to guess they either paid cash and got a good deal or got the tractor for less than what I paid.
I can hold my own juing someone down on cars, but as for tractors, I did not know enough one to even try and make any points that should lower the price.
I will never deal with the place I dealt with again. I will never need another tractor but if I did, I would go out of state and buy one and hope for a better price.

Go back to edit that add and remove this:
List out the machine specs, save the prospective buyer from having to do the leg work to learn about what you are selling
I am knocking $1700 off what I have it it for the 43.7 hours. I will not go any lower than that. I can always use it for yard work.


While your in there, try to clean up all of the things you copied from the book, all of the ........ Trails are messy. Or just delete it all and copy the info I gave earlier.

Make sure to state simply that the price is firm at whatever your price is, and make sure to say you need no help selling, and all sales are cash in hand only.

I purchased it in September 2017 if I recall correctly. I know the warranty just ended. I had a two year warranty but all that remains now is the PowerTrain warranty.
I may be high on my price expectations, but as I said in another post, or I think I did anyway, I would rather keep it. I plan on buying some land in the near future and I am sure it will come in handy then as well as it did when I purchased it for leveling the land for the pool.

Right now you've got a great small tractor, you KNOW nobody has "gassed" it, it's not been abused, you should be able to do any fluid/filter changes for a while.
If you are getting more land you probably won't find a better seller than yourself to buy a tractor from.

When I bought my B7610 in '09 my neighbors chuckled. My lot size (and all my neighbors) is less than 0.25 acre.

When they got 2 dumptrucks full of sand for volleyball courts at the pool and discovered they were going to have to move all of it by wheelbarrow load from the parking lot to the courts about 100 yards away across a muddy lawn they thanked me.
When we got about 20" of snow the next February and I dug out a lot of the my cul-de-sac they thanked me.
When I bought another 70 acres down in Mississippi I hauled it down and thanked myself.

If you can keep it covered/protected from the elements it may increase in value. I've been tracking B7610's at Tractorhouse off and on since 2009. Prices are level to slightly higher and they were last made in 2007.

Well, mine is smaller than yours. Mine is .23 acre, but I am going to try and sell it. I have improved it a lot since I had my home built here in 2007.
Yes, I keep it in a shed. I would never leave it or my mower sitting out in the weather, sun or snow.

I lost it so I made another one. I got it as close as possible to the one I had. After I got this one done, I found that one. This is a mess. I should never have listed it I guess. If I did not do it right this time, how much would you charge me to write up my ad?

I purchased my Mahindra MAX 24 HST with front loader around September of 2015 so the two year warranty expired this month; however, the powertrain is still good. It has only had two years used thus far. The tractor has 43.7 hours on it. I purchased it for one purpose and that was to level ground for an above ground pool. I also hauled some gravel from the front to the back of my house and did a little other yard work, but for the most part, it is new. It does not even have enough hours on to require a tune up; however, the 50 hour service was completed September 5, 2017.

Thanks. Well, Rock Crawler gets the credit for it. I had no idea how to fix it. I forgot and copied some of the stuff I was not supposed to have in it and made myself look like a moron. When he said specs, I put them all in there and made a mess with that as well.
I am glad that is done. I would kind of like to sell it, but it is not biggie if I do not, because these little tractors are quite nice to have. I like mine.

I sold the 950 5 yrs later for 3K less than I paid for it with 800 hrs on it. Sold the 750 28 yrs later for $2300 less than I paid. As you can see, I also kept the littler tractor and seldom regretted it.

I sold a mower I had had for years and only lost about $500. So...I had far better luck with that than expected.

Did you finance through Mahindra? If the tractor is collateral, that will need to be paid off upon sale (look at the long thread on liens!)

When you compare the sale of your mower ( that you "had for years" ) to a one year old tractor sale, you are comparing apples to oranges.
A used Mahindra Max HST sale simply cannot compete for buyers, with a new purchase from a dealer.
Will you provide a 2 year warranty, parts support, and zero percent interest financing?
I do not want a Mahindra Max HST, but if I did, I would absolutely buy a new one,..... unless yours was priced at 20% less than new.
I stand by my previous $13,000 estimate, if you have any serious expectation of selling the tractor.
