Snow plow or blower?

/ Snow plow or blower? #21
I would use a 3 point in the back and leave the bucket on it to clear snow as you need it. I find with a plow or the bucket that the snow builds up too much to push it. But my plow is just a straight plow. A blower would be nice- no stops just go.

I'm getting a 8ft back blade to plow the driveway. I can angle and offset it to push the snow off to one side. My driveway ditch is very slite so I can move the berm out. The back blade has other uses also.
Put a snow bucket on the front and see what winter brings.

My latest snow tool is this SnowSport plow. It fits in a 2 inch receiver and is 100% manual. Once it is down in the plow position, all you do is drive forward and back....the plow does the rest. It has a 1 inch thick rubber scraper so it is great for grass areas. First I made a receiver for the TC33D, then I made one for the RTV900. It is crazy fast (RTV) and easy for me to plow the area between the house and shed. There are many videos showing how these plows work.

Ruffdog,
I also bought a Snowsport plow for my Tacoma last year. I'm think of purchasing a quick attach for my BX2230 LA211 loader and found two units that have receiver hitches integrated into the QA frame.

I'm thinking of using my Snowsport with my Kubota as I would be able to raise and lower the plow using the loader.

How well did it work for you?

Thanks!

I've plowed using my pick up for the past 30 yrs. and all the trucks did was rot out. Finally got a cabbed Kubota and a plow from Quick Attach and finished the last of last year's winter with the tractor. I hate snow and cold so I'm hoping for not a bad winter this year, but I'll have to deal with what I get. By the way, my drive is 1000' and gravel and I would like a snow blower, but cost and storage are my concerns.

I put a 2" receiver on the front of my tractor and on the front of my RTV and it works great. The plow on the RTV is the fastest combo I have as I have higher gears and I don't have to raise and lower like the tractor rear blade. It is amazing how much it will push and it curls the wet snow nicely.
