14x20 skid shed build --Done!--

Guys, today we had gravel dumped then installed in front of both of our sheds to make a berm, so the ramps would sit at much less of an angle. Its hard to see in the photos, but the gravel may have be 6" deep, where the ramp would sit on it. Doing this effectively makes the ramps much longer and easier for skidding implements into both of these sheds. This will also control the water that was flowing under the older, smaller shed that's in the 1st photo. Also done today was installing the last piece of trim which effectively completes this new shed project.

Allow me to add silly details,

Most people who assemble skid sheds, don't plan to ever move it and cut corners in its design. That fine if you don't ever need to move it. This one can be moved and is located over a sewer line. Another feature that increased it's cost, was the implements are hung from 3 of its walls. Plus all tin screws located on its walls, are covered or buried, in 2x4's so people utilizing the shed won't have razor sharp screws poking out at them. Nonetheless, this shed cost in the $10,000+ range. Hope that helps.. Any questions???

Thanks to all for the kind comments.

We've been clearing trails here for some time now. The great lake region is having a cool, wet summer so the weeds, trees and grass is having a exponential growing season. We normally just do this in the fall. For welding or wood contraction future, I have some minor projects in the works but not sure these would be of any interest to folks here. One is a implement storage pole that has a roof to keep the winch cleared of snow and ice. And the other is a adding a track setting pan to the groomer we use at our school yard trails.

Again, thanks to everyone for the kind comments. I am a bit surprised this thread is nearing 20,000 views.

Nicely done and documented. Curious what the red pipe with $5 is exactly?

I think that's a Go Fund Me account to pay for the shed. ;)
