i use condemned fire hose to cover my hydraulic lines. i am able to get it from time to time through where i work. works great and the price is excellant.

MMM said:There's a plastic version of the steel type shown in the Disc HYD. I'm not sure where to get it in US, but we use it offshore and it's called spiral wrap. Really easy to work with and no hose removal.

I would love to "protect" them from wear and tear such as rubbing against metal edges, sticks, and other stuff that wants to wear the hoses out early. Any ideas of what I can wrap around these hoses to protect them that will look good doing it? Something that will look professional, with a clean appearance. Any commercial products?

old inner tube or radiator hose you can pick up at auto repair garages works well.
