From the "progressive" Dictionary.com we have this definition for wheelbarrow:

a frame or box for conveying a load, supported at one end by a wheel or wheels, and lifted and pushed at the other by two horizontal shafts

My initial take is that "progressives" would call Wagtail's device a wheelbarrow, while conservatives would call it a cart.

So my wheelbarrow total went up to 4.

Many years ago I modified this garden dump cart with handles and a removable tongue.

One 4 cf metal pan, wood handles and a tubeless tire I can't reseat anymore.
One 8 cf, plastic pan, metal handles, 2 wheels.
One 4 cf metal pan, hydraulic-over-metal handles, 5 wheels (one for steering), seat, seat belt, ROPS.

Kicker is my wife wanted the 8cf AFTER I got the 5 wheel one.

3 here. One "old style" Ace Hardware special cheapy with a tire (Chinese) that's usually flat - never used. One good-quality 1-wheeler with a never-flat tire - frequently used, especially for bringing today's firewood from the woodpile to the furnace. Very maneuverable around obstacles in the basement! One good-quality 2-wheeler with good quality tires - rarely used.

On Mom's side of the family a wheelbarrow and a concrete mixer came as wedding presents to every couple starting out...

I still my parents "Well Made" circa 1959 made in Oakland California back when there was a lot of manufacturing here...

What passes for wheelbarrows today is mostly a joke... neighbor did a small concrete project of a couple sacks of mix and the wheel doubled over on his $39 garden wheelbarrow!

Similar for the Harbor Freight wheel with tire they sell...

Using the FEL as a wheelbarrow substitute still requires manual intervention. You have to get on the tractor, start it up, drive it, raise and lower the FEL, etc.

Before retiring the wheelbarrow I am holding out for a drone wheelbarrow that the wife or kids can operate. It will need to have a mechanical shovel attachment that can be operated remotely as well. Included will need to be a 360 degree camera for backing up and dumping. Probably a 200 lb capacity continuous duty for 8 hours electric charge runtime is reasonable.

Until then I will use a traditional wheelbarrow on occasion

Oh yeah, forgot it's winter time for you. That is a serious looking piece of work tool. How's it dump with a wheel in the front? I'd think that it would keep rolling...LOL...

It dumps just like a regular barrow. If you note on the provided photo; there is a prominent projecting dumping 'bumper'. It is very stable.

Aside from using it daily to collect and transport wood from the stacked pile to the house; I've used it to transport biscuits of hay to the paddock for my horses, carry all the materials required to set-up a temporary electric fence, collect kindling, remove/transport garden waste... to name but a few.

I use it constantly and I'm very glad that I have it. I just push it along.
