Well i tried a search but no luck. What is the thread size on County Line rotary mower pto universal joint? I bought combo box from tractor supply but non fit

Did you but inch sizes or metric? Probably is metric. They can be tricky to get in because the threads get mangled easily. They make tools to clean threads also.

I got inch. Will try metric

My Everything Attachments plow was missing the grease fitting in the coulter when I bought it. I wasn't sure of size, so I got something close, in a self tapping. In fact, I didn't see any threads in the bore, so I guessed they used self tappers at the plant. Kinda ironic to tap something after final assembly that could introduce debris into a greased interface, but if it's a matter of it being very close but maybe you boogered up the threads, that could work for you.

some small diameter zerks are press fit. they look like threads, but are ridges that compress when installed to hold tight. there would be no threads in the hole

I am thinking you may be on to something there. Except that the other end of the PTO does have a zerk that fits the missing spot. I plan to take it to NAPA and see if I can find a duplicate.
