I've never heard of a rear mounted "root rake". I've tried to use my landscape rake like you did but it is mostly a fruitless waste of time to try collecting sticks and the like that way. The debris just clogs up the rake and the rake jumps over it or digs up the turf. Big mess.

This is what comes to mind for a CUT rear attachment for getting roots out of the ground.

Interesting. Not a very common implement. I guess I would just use my box blade with tines extended and without the main blade in contact with the soil to do the same thing. That or just use a root grapple. I am having a hard time envisioning a large area with surface roots that need ripping out. I certainly have fields where I know there are briar roots etc under the turf but I deal with them by mowing regularly so they eventually die off. Trouble with trying to rip out the roots is that if you leave just a fragment of root behind some plants will just regrow anyways.

The difference between those and a box blade is the scarifiers can go much deeper, if your tractor can pull it.

I like the one with the piggyback rake, if you can use either one by adjusting the top link instead of having to change implements.

I guess that is because Kubota may not make a 3 point quick hitch, only aftermarket companies make them.

So now for the front there is SSQA, QA and KLQH.

Nice. Are you just using a box blade as ballast or are your tires filled? What grapple is that? Looks like a good match.

IT,

Yes the BB is my go-to ballast. It weighs 675 lbs, has 410 lb concrete, steel and lead weight block on the end that also holds my Ratchet Rake, my tires are filled and I have 500 lbs of concrete, steel and lead wheel weights. That trunk came very close to lifting my rear tires!

The 48" grapple I got from Skid Steer Attachment Depot, a local dealer in Huntsville AL. The only problem I have with it is the male end of the FF connectors on the tractor side always has to be dissembled to connect the grapple. What a PIA.

Is the lid up or down when disconnected?
