Wandering around the property during a dry spell, following the dog, before all the leaves and brush fill out and spotted an out of place yellow thing in a brush clump. Closer investigation showed what it was.

It appears to be a sub-compact tractor of some kind, but I can't tell what. I put down my tape measure for scale.

I've been here over 30 years. My sons didn't have one like this. The previous owner had teen boys when we bought it, so I'm guessing it is a 70's model.

Tomorrow is supposed to be dry, so I may try to recover it with the BX.

Wow, lucky you Bruce. Industrial yellow, the tyres look OK from this side and it has a FEL on it too.

Looking forward to more piccies of the recovery effort.

Tires look to be in very good shape too!

I do not wish to rain on your parade, but tractors that light usually are not capable of much work do to lack of traction.

It looks to be in good shape, no rust. I would put money on the fact that you will never be able to get it fired up though.

I'm guessing it's an old Minneapolis Moline...don't know what model though.

Worse case is some salvage value, best case, it will clean up and be like new. Do you think it was stolen and dumped? Kids these days.

Wonder if the FEL is functional ...

You can borrow my tractor to pull that one out of the muck.

You are going to have to put a steering wheel on it and modify the spindles, before it becomes productive. :D

I have this picture of a grown man, using a piece of string as a tow rope, pulling out the toy tractor and making pretend engine sounds.

That's my plan for later today.

If you need it taken somewhere for restoration my Son is in the Long Haul business. Has been since 1983.

I'd change all the fluids and filters just to be safe....

The tractor is out!

Using my smallest recovery strap, (3/8 x 6ft) the first job was removing the log that blocked in the tractor.

Then I gradually turned it outward, pulling gently on the front axle, and clearing brush as needed.

Here is is pulled out onto the road and in the parking area. The loader and bucket still work, after the pins were cleaned and replaced. And all four tires were still good! It even has front weights.

The driving controls have no looseness at all. They feel really solid.

Restoration photos will come later.
