CE air fryer arrived today and we checked it out with fresh cut potatoes. We used no oil. They turned out great in 15 minutes. I should be harvesting my potatoes in about 3 weeks.View attachment 504986
Looks great. Never heard of a air fryer? I learn a lot here.

Good evening all. 49F this morning, light breeze and clear sky. Day warmed to 76F winds climbed to 15-25 and stayed closer to 25 most of the time. Bike ride this morning, followed by lunch nap and golf, wife wants to play couples golf this weekend and both of our games showed the lack of practice or play time :(

Golf is a game that with a lot of practice and expensive equipment, you can become an extremely poor player in 5-10 years!:D

Here is a pic of the fryer along with an hours worth of berry picking. Mom gets a healthy dewberry pie Sunday.
The air fryer does not heat up the kitchen like the oven does so we will use it a lot this summer. They have sold out again so you might have to wait if you order one. My wife said the meat dishes looked really good in the recipe book that came with it but we will have to get RNG to try those. IMG_0409.JPG

Blackberries, man, we won't have them until about July 4! Last year just as they got ripe, the darn birds ate them all!

Good morning all. We have a gorgeous start to the weekend, Jack Frost has gone and painted the whole roof white over. That shouldn't be around for long at all as it looks like it's going to be sunshine all day.

Finally the temperatures are climbing high enough to able to paint some of the things that got welded over the last few months.
A wire brush and a tin of red oxide paint should keep me out of trouble for much of the day.

Don, is your blackberry cooking drone one of R2-D2s cousins ?

RNG, thought of you yesterday and your quest for a low powered refrigerator when I came across this "OsoKool" that I was given when I first came here. No amps required and this is how they were sold at a time when cheap Peltier devices were completely unimaginable.

Just say and it's yours. A few dimples in the door, but you are getting good at putting them right. Also helps if you like your beer slightly on the warm side.

Well, I took my wife out for our anniversary, my potato was baked, with a side of prime rib.

Went to the old south mountain inn. Built in 1730s, it sits on the old national road. Was a tavern for years. Lots of famous people have stayed here. Appalachian trail runs through the parking lot. The first Washington monument is located just north of here. The section of AT from here to the monument is the only section I have not hiked in MD.
Was a private residence for Admiral dahlgren, who's widow built the Dahlgren chapel across the road.

Boy...that brings back fond memories!! That was a great place to eat and a great drive (I lived north of Baltimore when I first went there and in south-central PA the other times). I always liked eating there for Sunday morning brunch. We went to the Washington Monument too (with the girl I was dating at the time).

I took my sister there for Sunday morning brunch (her birthday). At the time, I had a Porsche 911S. So, that was a nice ride on a beautiful morning. On the way home, we took I-70 (not the prettiest route, but the quickest) and were moving along at a rather rapid pace since there was little traffic on a Sunday morning. We passed a little Honda at a good clip and as we went over a rise, the radar detector started blasting. Well, not only are Porsches fast, they have incredible brakes! Good thing, since when we topped that rise, it must have been every state cop in Maryland setting on the median. I got down to the limit (this was in the days of the national 55 MPH speed limit). As we approached those cops, one walked into the lane and, I figured I was busted. Well, didn't pull me over, but got that little Honda we had blasted by. Whew!!!!
About 2 or 3 miles past the speed trap, I see headlamps and the rotating lights of a MD state police car rapidly approaching behind me. Yep...he pulled me over and claimed I was clocked by "aerial surveillance" . The ticket was for 70 in a 55...well, no real complaints since they must of nailed me as I was slowing down. I had been doing at least 20 MPH more then 70.
That was my last trip to the Old South Mountain Inn, BTW...but not because of the ticket.

34 right now...high will be in the low 40's with some snow showers.
Dump run and a haircut this morning. Step-daughter's ex-BF is supposed to come by to help move two sofas today sometime. I hope I can get time to try out my two latest acquisitions, a Kahr CW9 and a Henry Survival Rifle sometime this weekend.
