About 17 right now. Going to the mid 20's? Finally got the power back this afternoon. One of my neighbors went and got a 17KW generator, from Costco. Got home and the power was on....:) It is a stationary model, so he needs to get a gas line run, and a electrician to hook it up. We figure next Friday, the next day predicted to be above freezing. Not the kind of March I was hoping for. Wish I had a cab tractor, we have 1 to 3 inches of snow predicted.

Be safe.

Good morning. A little damp this morning, shame as up to late yesterday afternoon we were doing really well with the spring weather. With no rain for three days and a good drying wind, most of the mud by the hay barn had firmed up enough for me to set to with the Iseki's bucket and start digging out. I am determined to get some stone in there before next winter comes. A tracked excavator would have been better suited to the task, but not too bad progress with ag tires and the rear diff lock kept busy.

Lenny, you may be hoping you had a lucky escape, but deep down, you just know your wife will remember that bruise, however long you can make the Texas job last. :D

Also good use for Old Timers jack knife.
Thomas, that brings back memories of a jack knife I had when I was a youngster. It was about 5" or 6" long and was so heavy, I couldn't put it in my pockets or my jeans would have been dragged down to my ankles. It looked very much like this one -

Never did find a use for the spike, although I once managed to accidentally break a window with it when my parents were out, but that's a story for another day.

24 heading to 44. NOAA still says 100% chance of snow for us, but have now stirred some rain and sleet into the pot.

Mowed about half an acre yesterday and ran the chainsaw most the rest of the day, clearing part of the fence line. Now I have many piles of small trees laying in the field and pasture to clean up.

Wow, it really is still cold up there still. Stay warm somehow.

Set all your clocks ahead if you live where they do.

Horrible night's sleep. Have a backache.

Billy, if it wasn't snowing, I'd be right up with my chipper to help you...;)

35 degrees in light snow flurries, we are right at the rain/snow line, should flurry and sleet all morning, no accumulation I'm sure. Blizzard warning for NYC for 12-18 inches of snow.

had an early breakfast of two fried eggs and some turkey bacon. First time I had tried the latter. Ok alternative "meat" but sure doesn't taste much like bacon and
very different to cook due to so little fat content.
Very little salt which is good, but I was very surprised by the ingredients label. Sugar was the number three ingredient,
yet when I looked at the sugar content below, it said 0 percent, no sugar. ?? Didn't taste sweet.

Quiet morning, going to make a sour cherry pie and that's about it.

25 out this AM. Looks like we are in for a nice snow on Monday, best case is 10-18" with 5-10" the call. Time to get the snow sticks out for the driveway. I fed the brush pile for most of the day yesterday, that and swinging the maul. The wood stove is burning nice and hot and all is quiet.

Have a great day all, it is Sunday, the day of rest. So try it!
