That's a sweet F450. Ought to be able to pull about anything. Good idea going with a 30k trailer, it is a big step up in cost that many folks won't make. What do you see as your max gross combined weight? I run a Ram 3500 dually with a 26K 32' hydraulic disk brake gooseneck trailer and we can legally get right under 40k lbs combined if we load up each axle to near max. It wasn't that many years ago that these sort of capacities were unheard of short of a real deal medium duty.

I hauled a trackhoe and a bulldozer on a 5 ton tag along once. Was going to pick up a tractor and our son wanted to strap his toys to the trailer, I said ok. We drove to the bank and then to get the tractor like this. I am sure some people were thinking what in the world?

Max truck gross is 14k and trailer tow rating of 32,500 per ford. I can be well over 40k and still be legal. My tractor, batwing and compressor should hopefully be around 18k on the trailer. Trailer i found has 60 miles on it and is a 2015. Elec/hyd brakes and 17.5 wheels and tires. Should have lots of capacity left. Rather have a little extra growing room instead of being at the line like I currently am. Can also easily pull a Dozer or decent sized track hoe for projects around the house

Thanks guys! We try to include him (he's 4, she's 1) and our daughter in everything, how many things like this did our parents do for us when we were kids they didn't get photos of? Cell phones have changed that!

Thanks. It's huge back there. My 4yo son has plenty of leg room and can't get his feet all on the seat now. It's like ford finally listened to the consumers and added the stuff we had been wanting for years and then some

Picked up the new trailer yesterday. Absolutely love it, never really been in awe over a trailer before, but they way this one is built and how heavy duty it is makes me excited to use it. 35'x5' pierced frame. 2-15k axles with elec/hyd disc brakes, 10 4" ratchet straps and all leds. Only thing I didn't consider was changing the tires. They are torqued to 350 ft lbs. plan to mount my new gas compressor if I do much mowing far from home and will need to pick up a big impact and start looking for a trq wrench that'll work!
