You see that strap there? Going around the snowmobile and securing it into the bed?

Yeah, neither do I.

And why the heck don't these people with dash cams race up beside these trucks and waive them over if they can do it safely? It's like they are voyeurs waiting for the accident. I try to help out fellow motorists if a tie strap is dragging along the back, and for sure I would be working double time to catch up and potentially save a life in these kinds of events.

Several years ago I was going down the highway and saw something bounce out of a boat being towed. I pulled up next to the truck and tried to tell him something fairly large fell out of his truck. I thought is was a trolling motor. He didn't believe me and kept driving. About 30 min later he pulled into a gas station and I pulled in behind him. He got out and noticed some down riggers missing. I told him that is probably what I saw bounce out of his truck. Needless to say he was not happy. I tried to tell him but he didn't listen.

That's kind of the best karma. Trying to be helpful and being told to whiz off.
Darwin was onto something.

Saw a SUV towing a very small light trailer with a riding mower on it. Almost looked home made. I thought it didn't look like it was tied down well with some low buck ratchet straps, sure enough he hit a bump and I saw the strap come loose and dangle. I tried to get next to him and warn him but never got a chance.

Yes, like the time the exhaust rubber loosened again while just getting onto the highway. A driver was very frustrated when i smiled and stuck my thumbs up when he franticly pointed to the sparks beneath my car. He could just not imagine that i didnt give a crap, cut off the exhaust pipe when i got home, and drove it for the rest of the week without a pipe (turbo muffles quite well) while the dealer was preparing my newly bought car which i picked up at the end of the week...

Costco is selling lots of mattresses now after the new year. Go to the parking lot and watch the DIY tie down techniques. Today I watched a guy throw a queen mattress/box on top of his 4 door sedan. Cracked all 4 windows and ran twine around the roof and then rolled up the windows to tighten. I left before I could witness the impending calamity.

I saw one like that but with the mattress tied stronger with clothesline. Driver was whipping along on the Interstate and the mattress was nearly folded in half with the wind. The people inside had no idea and there was zero chance that honking on my part would have done any good. I feel bad for the women in this situation that are trying to run a nice home and have a guy that is tone deaf.

Equipment ReLocation

Look through the pictures and let me know if you see his USDOT number posted on the side of his truck anywhere. I guess if he stays entirely within Arkansas, he doesn't need it, but his ad sure doesn't say he is restricting business.

You are absolutely right - no USDOT number, which likely means no insurance coverage for your property while he hauls it. And, if he hauls your trailer with your equipment, you get to own liability.
