^^^ Do you have far to go?

One of the old time ranchers around here moves everything in the back of his 1 ton 1969 Chevrolet Pickup... cattle, horses, pigs... he has pipe rack that extends over the cab... the horses just jump in but he does back up to a dirt berm.

Furthest haul was about 40 miles to pick up a calf, I have moved 4 this way so far without any issues

When I was a little kid I remember I went with Grandpa to bring home a tiny and very confused calf in the trunk of his '39 Dodge. No problem!

Heh. I once delivered a baby goat in a 35 gallon galvanized trash can, seatbelted onto the passenger seat of my '79 Honda civic station wagon. The rear area, with seat folded down, was occupied by a full-sized clothes dryer. And yes, the hatch closed completely. :)

The goat didn't seem to mind. He was quiet the whole trip, about an hour.

Just brought home a 3 day old sheep that was abandoned by it's Mom... farmer didn't have time to deal with it and the horseshoer happened to mention it to my 4H neice...

It rode in a cardboard box on the front passenger floor.

Quite the celebrity now... lives in a playpen in the Living Room... yes Living Room... (Tile Floor with a plastic tarp under the playpen)

It's below freezing where they are plus making the trip to the barn... sheep couldn't be happier and follows my niece around like a dog...

For other duties... the horse trailer does multiple duties or the stock trailer.

That is almost identical to the trailer my late FIL used to haul his stock back in the 70's

Equipment ReLocation

Look through the pictures and let me know if you see his USDOT number posted on the side of his truck anywhere. I guess if he stays entirely within Arkansas, he doesn't need it, but his ad sure doesn't say he is restricting business.
We had usdot numbers but when we had to renew we got stuck with a USDOT idiot who insisted we didn't need them. So we still have them on the truck but I don't believe we're in their system anymore.

Could be this guy talked with the same idiot we did
