B21 narrow backhoe bucket

Looking for sources for narrow (6 inch) bucket for a B21.

The previous owner of my B26 bought 12" and 18" bucket but I guess he found the 18" to be too much so he cut 5" off each side to make it into an 8". This is about as narrow as you need for trenching. Anything less and you cant walk in it (or step down in it). Sorry cant help you one sourcing one other than Kubota dealer.

I do have an 18" bucket that is too much for the rocky stuff we have here. I do have a plasma cutter and a multi process welder. I also feel some inner turmoil about cutting up a perfectly good bucket.

I have a 10" and 16" bucket. The 10" is no fun in clay soil when it is on the wet side. Sticks inside the bucket badly.

I tend to keep the 16" on most of the time...

With a welder and plasma cutter, have you considered fabricating a smaller bucket yourself?

You may need to put a piece of chain in the bucket like the draglines use to help release the mud suction and break it out of the bucket on the small bucket. May even work for the 16" one too.

I have a 10" I bought from 10" Bucket for Kubota B21, B20, BH77, BH76, BH75, BH65, B4672(A), BL4690(B), B4572, BL4590 (1 in stock)
I don't think you would want a 6", but if you insist you might want to ask if they would make you one.

I'm unable to find any 6" buckets anywhere. I believe a 10" would be the smallest available.

Wouldn't a 6" jam up with rocks? Certainly on clay. I have 12" on my B21, seems as narrow as I would want. How big are your rocks on average?

Not trying to intrude on this post but does anyone have a copy of the WSM for the b21 for sale?

I built my own about 9" wide. That was as narrow as I could go on a BX backhoe and have the ditch wide enough for the bucket linkage and pin. I just copied the 12" bucket I had. It works good as long as it isn't muddy. You want to build in a little taper to the back and I would make it deeper if I was doing it again so it has a little more capacity.
