Question about Kubota Third Function Valve Operation

/ Question about Kubota Third Function Valve Operation #11
With a little plumbing, and a $130 diverter valve, you already have the control wiring and buttons. Wouldnt be hard to switch to a diverted valve and use your joystick for feathering.

To the OP. Give this some time. You'll get used to it and be able to control the grip. At that time you'll appreciate the speed when needed.

I can softly grip if needed and most importantly can quickly release when needed.

As to the on/off switch. It's purpose is to turn off the function when not in use such as when using the bucket. This prevents accidental pressurizing the 3rd function system for no reason.

You have what I believe is the "Cadillac" of 3rd function systems. Allows all 3 functions to be used at once up to the tractor's full flow rate.

This is the OEM 3rd function with lighted on and off button, as others have said give it time you will get better when you use it.

"Do you happen to have a picture of them?"

I'm not at home or I'd gladly post a picture of them, they are just JIC fittings with an orifice hole through them that goes inline with hoses to one side of the cylinders. The instructions suggest leaving them in place for a skid steer, or removing them for a tractor.

My dealer must have taken them out prior to delivery. :confused3:. Just wanted to make sure I hadn't missed something. Thanks

FXfyn - don't give up on your current system so soon. You, like the remainder of us, will learn how to use the toggle and feather the grapple. I'm very capable of clamping down on delicate objects and not denting/crushing them. It just takes a little time & practice.
