Glare off hood

Why not just wear a pair of polarized sun glasses? If you value your eyesight, you should be wearing sunglasses while working outdoors anyway.

Got to drive the tractor around a bit today. Been tinkering with it and checking everything. Gonna adjust the bushhog a bit. Trying to figure out how I can get to my drive shaft clutch on the hog. I want to make sure the adjustment is ok on the clutch. There is a big ole plastic safety cover over it. Reading the book on it now.

ps....I do wear sunglasses and this glare I'm talking about needs welding goggles....ha ha ha

Glare screws with me too.. Always has. Even with sunglasses. Polarized does help, but it can still hurt if it hits the eye just right.

Congratulations. Can you post some pictures of it? We like pictures.

Instead of under coating, use PlastiDip. It goes on good, but also comes off real easy w/o tearing up the paint come resale time. People do it all the time for cars, 4x4, and wheels..

I'll have to try that stuff on the hood and roof of my truck, not for glare but to change the look.

Lots of info on the web and youtube about applying and toughness.. Some of them are rather creative.

Lift a bunch of big rocks with your bucket and fill a dump truck. Do that enough, and the ones that spill back/fall onto your hood will put enough dimples in it that there won't be hardly anything shiny 'nuff left to bother you anymore.... :)
